Program Time Warner Remote RT-U62CP-1.17 to work ONKYO TX-SR575

I have tried all supplied codes by Time Warner 171 will control the sound, for the ONKYO TX-SR575, which is the main goal, however it cannot be saved into the remote. Also it will not turn on or off the ONKYO unit. Time Warner Remote works TV, VCR, and Cable box of Course. So as of right now I need to still use the ONKYO remote to control the volume.

Can you use an Onkyo RC-771M remote control to operate Onkyo receiver TX-SR502 ?

Unfortunately, the RC-771M remote doesn't control the TX-SR502. It will only work with these Onkyo models: TX-NR1008 and TX-NR808. The RC-567M is the one for the TX-SR502; replacement remotes that are exact replacements are still available from various places including Amazon.com .

Since the TX-SR502 was released in ~2004, that replacement remote probably won't control other devices that were released in 2004 or later. Onkyo changed its IR code programming before the TX-NR1008 was released in ~2010 and the RC-771M can't communicate with the older receiver. The manuals for the receivers listed above are still available from Onkyo on the product page under the Downloads tab.

I wish that I had better news for you.

Want to know how to set up my bell expressvu remote to control my onkyo tx-sr605 receiver?

If you are trying to use another manufactures remote to control your Onkyo receiver they are the ones who are responsible for programming the Hexadecimal codes into their remotes. We do not have codes for any other manufactures remotes. You may want to try the following website for codes www.remotes.com or http://www.remotecodelist.com for any codes to program your remote. As we do not have the remote controller codes for non-Onkyo controllers- you can try the generic remote controller code: 62503 or 52503.

Tx-sr575 7.1 - is there any use in connecting and old power amp and equalizer to this receiver? If so, how?

Ya mean like to hook up Bose 901's? Nevermind.

Utility is in the imagination of the dreamer.

http://www.retrevo.com/support/Onkyo-TX-SR575-Receivers-manual/id/2526bh749/t/2/

Any analog processor can occupy the Tape Out/In loop. However, it will only affect stereo analog sources and, once engaged to monitor, it will disable any digital audio source.

An external amp COULD be slaved off the tape Out (or the anticipated EQ Out, but it won't be volume-controlled by the Onkyo. You would need an AVR with at least Front L/R pre-outs.

How to program remote control?

Your Onkyo TX-SR304 receivers remote (RC-645S) is not capable of controlling devices by other manufacturers. It controls only Onkyo devices.
Other Onkyo remotes do have universal remote functionality and you can download Onkyo remote codes here.

I hope that helps.

Onkyo TX-SR575 I bought this unit at a flea market. Comes with everything including the manual except for the remote control. Manual is somewhat difficutl to understand. Stand by red light keeps...

The unit is in protect mode. The outputs are fried in all likelyhood. This can be repaired. Figure on $5-$15 for parts plus the local labor rate for the total repair cost.
