Stainless bowls with splayed sides designed especially for pets are a good choice. A baking sheet placed under the bowls will catch crumbs and drips.
Heavy enough that it's hard to tip over.
Away from the water or with a water bowl that it's also hard to tip/splash form into the food. Even a little water splashed onto dry food that sits open will grow toxic mold!
Dishwasher-safe and preferably not plastic, because plastic scratches, holds germs in the scratches, and if food will be heated in it, may release unhealthy chemicals into the food.
Does not need to be elevated, as it turns out dogs don't need that after all, unless they are elderly and have arthritic necks.
Not too big, because that will make small servings be spread too thin and harder to snap up, and make it easier for you to accidentally over-feed.
Easy to handwash, too.
One per pet for wet food; sharing dry between healthy dogs is less of an issue..
You should pick the elevated dog bowl for cleaner feeding
area. You clean the surface of the feeder table rather than the floor. In addition,
the elevated dog bowl can minimize the behavior of dogs that like to splash in
their water bowls.
There are several benefits you can gain by using an elevated dog bowl like improved digestion, cleaner feeding area, stable feeding surface, less strain on your dog's joints hips and shoulders, and much easier on the owner's back.
I will send you a few sites to browse through; however keep
in mind the size of the dog before buying a set.
