I downloaded some pics from the camera to the Pc. A little later, I went to take a picture using the front screen. Now the front screen has multicolored vertical lines, and no picture. Help?

not sure if you have the same problem..but i have the same camera and when i turned it on the screen was all white..it still worked and took pictures but i could only see them on the computer.. i had my friends dad open it up and he found a foam like piece that fell from somewhere and was causing a wire to short out in the LCD screen.

Make sure you have the driver downloaded, if so go to My Computer and see if connection is valid if not it could be your port or cord.

Check to see if your ISO is set to a high number like 800 or 1600. If so, set it lower or on auto ISO. Your white balance should probably be on auto white balance. Go into the setup menu and see if your camera has a setting for "reset". This could take your camera back to factory defaults.

I've also gone through the menu settings on the camera, to see if I could change this so the vertical lines went away. Nothing. The camera has not been dropped, gotten wet or anything like that. It was a simple picture download to a pc, and then this happened.
