SOURCE: Tri Colour cartridge inserted is not intended for use in this printer msg

Try to clean the print cartridge contact points with a good rubber eraser and clean the printer side cartridge contacts with good lint free cotton cloth. Then first insert Black cartridge and then colour cartridge. Use some more pressure while attaching the cartridges.

SOURCE: The printer doesn't recognize the new original HP color cartridge

There is a small spring that holds the ink cartridge in the ink holder. You will see it stick out from the right hand side of the ink holder where the ink cartridge slides in. If that spring isn't being held to the ink holder by two plastic tabs, (I.E. the plastic tabs are broken) the printer will never recognize the cartridge. If the printer is still under warranty I would contact HP or an authorized repair center for HP. Both the black and color ink holder has this spring. I know of no way to repair this kind of breakage.

SOURCE: Try to print but: get General Printer error 0x61000f6 beware spam number 1*800*532*4187

Hi

This error comes due to carriage jam. Turn off the printer and unplug it from wall socket. Now, remove the cartridges and check for any dried up ink residue on cartridges on inside the carriage. Clean the cartridges contacts and carriage using a Q-tip dipped i alcohol. Let the carriage and cartridges dry before you plug in the printer.
Install the cartridges and check. If it still shows error then unplug the power cord coming to the printer without switching it off. Now, remove the rear door of the printer and check for any paper jams over there, remove if any. Wit for at least 15 seconds and plug in the power cord. Now check whether it is working.

There is a problem with the computer sensor in the ink cartridge. That is what is causing this error that you are seeing. Is it a refilled cartridge or did you buy it new from the store? If you bought it new and it is doing this, then take it back to the store and tell them it is a defective cartridge and you want to exchange it for a new one. If it is a refilled cartridge and you bought it from an ink store, take it back to them and tell them that the sensor is failing. They will replace or repair the sensor and then the cartridge should work properly.

Hope this helps?

First make sure you are placing the right
color cartridge into the right slot.
Most Printers are touchy about the
installation of ink cartridges. If the
instructions say to press the cartridge
into the slot until you hear a loud click,
that's what they mean. If at first you
don't succeed, remove the cartridge and
reinsert it into the slot again and press
on it hard till it clicks.
Then your printer should work properly.
Hope this is of some help. Bud

Changed color cartridge and getting error

I had the same problem with my X8300 printer. As the printer was less than a year old Lexmark sent me a new printer. I will keep this printer until it to goes wrong and then buy another brand. Lexmark - cheap and nasty, I am afraid.

PROBLEMS REPLACING BLACK (21) Ink Cartridge

If the ink cartridge is one that is supported for your pritner, then it might be a problem cartridge. Cartridges have a shelf life. There's no telling how long it has been sitting on a shelf, in the store or in a warehouse, before you bought it. Ink is one item I feel that you get a fresher product, if you buy it online. I think online stores have a much larger turnover, because they service the whole country, instead of just a local community. An online store will sell more in one day, than your local Office Depot will in six months, therefore ordering more often, and keeping fresher ink in stock.

Try this site for ink. http://private.abacus24-7.com/home.aspx?

It keeps telling me to remove and check cartridge

I also have this same problem. I currently have refilled cartridges in there purchased from cartridge world. I never had any problems with my HP until i tried refilled cartridges for the first time about 6 months ago. When i first purchased a refilled cart. it took 3 trips back to the store until i got one that would work in my HP. so im wondering if this is why i am now getting this "remove and check cartridge" error message.? I am reluctant to go out and buy a new HP ink cartridge just to find out ill have the same problem....

Right cartridge incorrect" and "Left cartridge incorrect

Many newer HP Printers internally keep track of your cartridges by a serial number embedded into the cartridge. When it's low, the printer remembers. This is entirely done within the printer itself, and not the printer software. Some printers EXPIRE the cartridges after 18 months according to the installation date even it is not empty.

Outrageous, but true.

A fix? Most HP printers will only keep 2 cartridges in memory, so if you have 2 extra cartridges, (even empty ones) you could cycle them through to reset the printers memory, and reset the ink level to full. Basically, even though you've refilled your cartridge, the printers has the cartridge's serial number stored in memory. This will reset it.
