I'm not familiar with your specific RV, but it is obvious that your remote runs a relay or semiconductor switch to do the switching of the landing gear motors. The buttons you refer to must activate the landing gear separate from the remote. Power to run the landing gear must come from two sources, either from the separate buttons or the remote relay/switch. Since the separate buttons work and deliver full power to the landing gear while the remote does not, it is reasonable to suspect a problem with the relay/semiconductor switch that the remote energizes or the wire that goes from the switch run by the remote to the landing gear motor.
The relay/switch may defective or there is a partial short between the contacts and your battery ground the fuses to blow.
I would start by inspecting the power lead going from the remote switch to your landing gear motor. It may be partially shorted. Look at the wire if you can see it especially in areas where it might experience wear from movement and wear or cut through the wire insulation. With no power applied, using a volt/ohm meter, the resistance between the power wire and battery ground should show a very high resistance in the megohm range.
A low reading like 0.25 ohms would indicate a near short in the wire to ground.
Remember as you inspect the circuit that your landing gear changes direction, up or down, depending on which button is pressed. So either the working button or the non-working remote is switching power to the motor likely by reversing the polarity to the motor so the motor turns in one direction or the opposite direction.
Secondly, I would replace the relay/switch or relay module that the remote operates as it may have an internal short and be causing the problem.
You must consider to move your question to a relevant place, I never heard of a landing gear on a hammer drills?
Or you can fill in more specific, please.
Fry's purchased these from a chinese importer that rebranded the product. The actual manufacture is Double Horse, and the model is 9051A or 9051B depending on the graphics you got (they're the otherwise). Search for Double Horse 9051A or 9051B and you'll find lots of spares available, right down to the same graphics kit.
Replacement parts available on amazon and several other online
retailers. Manufacturer is in China and Taiwan, and are very hard to
deal with, and in best case scenario you'll still wait weeks for your
parts from Asia. I recommend Amazon. Quick shipping, great prices and
easy returns.
