SOURCE: ive formatted my 8gb flashdrive

AVI is just a format - the video inside it can be coded using just about every codec. That sharp supports files that are coded using DIVX 4 to 6 and XVID 0.8 to 1.3. You must make sure that the avi files were coded correctly. For that install this program and use it to check the files

TV says format not supported for my fire stick. How do I get a permanent fix so it'll play every time? I have no idea how to upgrade my Philips TV version either. Please help this girl in NC

A little more info may be needed. Does your TV say this as soon as you plug in your firestick or does it say this when you are trying to play a video? If the first hold down rewind "<<" while holding top circle of remote (outer ring) for 15 seconds. It is likely that your TV resolution is out of spec for the Firestick (4k?) and you will need to enable "legacy" (older) resolution mode on the Firestick. If this does not work, there are you You Tube videos on enabling this mode for your Firestick. If the second, then you are trying to play a video with an unsupported video Codec, in which case you would need to find a supported video.

Playing .avi files on USB stick directly to TV?

as you did not provided the manufacturer (brand), model or version - we do not know if your tv is capable of direct play of .avi files, you need to go to the manufacturers site and check what supported formats are.

Eh5000 wont play movies on usb stick

The TV can only play a specific format of video. You may be using MP4 files while the TV can only view 3GP or FLV formats; just try downloading a converter (I've used FLV Converter on Windows XP for years, works fine and very simple) and changing the file format.

Can't play video on sharp lc-32sb24u

The USB port on LC-32SB24U is only for firmware and other service updates. The TV can't understand the video file format; you will need to connect the TV to your computer as a monitor to display the videos. The manual discusses using the Service port starting on page 26. The manual is available here: http://static.highspeedbackbone.net/pdf/Sharp_LC37SB24U_LC32SB24U_Manual.pdf .

I wish that I had better news for you.

My samsung dvdc370 does not read movies from my usb

Are the movies inthe correct format for the player? If it does not register the USB drive, try it without a cable if one is used, and make sure contacts are clean. if it still does not register, the port cotroller may be dead.

What is the screen resolution to the sharp 32C540 ?

480i is the highest resolution of your tv. The tv has composite, s-video and component inputs in the back. The manual states that with component connections are dvd compatible allowing you to enjoy the highest quality image playback than using s-video. Dvd's resolution are 480i or 480p. I'm guessing it's more 480i than 480p since the tv is a crt tube tv and does not have any of the digital inputs for higher resolutions.

HOW CAN I GET A BETTER ,SHAPER PICTUER NO MY TV

The sharpness of your picture is dependent on the resolution your TV and device(s) are capable of producing. This TV is capable of showing video in resolutions up to 1080i. 1080i is a good quality of video, so the lack of clarity in your picture is likely being caused by your video source. Basically, the principal of Garbage In, Garbage Out applies here. If your video source is low resolution, even the best TV won't be able to produce a clear picture from it. If you're using VHS and standard definition cable, switch to Blu-Ray and ask your cable provider about high definition tv. Make sure you're using the proper cables (ie., HDMI) as older types such as composite can't support high definition video. Once again, your TV wont polish any poop for you, but play some decent quality video through it and you should notice a world of difference.
