I want to play mame games on my new psp 3004,is it possible?

No, the 6.38 Firmware update patched all of the exploits and if you upgraded you will no longer be able to hack it or play "cracked" games. They also patched the ability to be able to revert to a former version (6.37 or lower). So, unfortunately, you're stuck. Sorry.

what is the firmware version of youp psp? it is 5.03 version. if yes, you need chicken software to upgrade it to version 6.31 and gen-c software to activate the iso/rar games you uploaded from games folder.

The PSP with Firmware v6.xx cannot be hacked because of Sony's patches that came with the update. Although, if your PSP has a OFW v5.03, you could have been able to have it hacked. Right now that is the only version that can be hacked clean so far. I would suggest to wait until a new custom firmware is available for Firmware version 6.x.

You can't, there is no custom firmware yet available for this version of firmware of yours to be downgrade

Currently there are no ways to put custom firmware on a psp 3000, you will only brick the psp trying.

if you donot have a downgraded cfw psp you cannot play any games from the memory stick and nor will it display to have the custom firmware go to a local game store and ask them to make psp 3004 cfw so you can play games from memory stick and sometimes they will charge some fees but it is worth it because you cannot make a psp 3004 model cfw it is pretty complex

This is how.

You can run a custom firmware enabler (chickHEN &CFWe 3.50) that will load your iso/cso backups on a psp-3004, if itsfirmware is not higher than 5.03.

Aslong as you put your machine on standby you can keep running backups.Once the machine is powered off, you need to re-load the funky tiff's.

i think its because you do not have a custom firmware?
do you have a custom firmware? or did you upgrade from the PSNetwork? because if you did,thats an Official Firmware, and OFW's dont play isos.

it should be possible if you get custom firmware or downgrade
how you can do this is by using a pandora battery and a magic memory stick
you can buy a pandora battery off ebay or whatever for cheap these days and you can use your current memory card as a magic memory stick
all it does is start the psp in a mode where you can reinstall the firmware with whatever firmware you want.
you will have to research into it because i have done it on my psp
im running 5.00 m33-2
but my psp is a 1002 model

alright u dont have custom firmware u can not flash a psp 3000 so just get the chickhen mod it is limited but hey what works works right? anyways just look it up on google or youtube and u should find out how to use it i dont use it but my friend does.
