Hi there,
I bought a Dikom 2GB SD Card for my camera and the first time I put it into the card reader slot on my Fujitsu Lifebook N3511 nothing happened.
Any suggestions on how to get the pics off the card?
I have checked with another sd card and the reader works fine. The new card didn't come with a cd rom so I presume it's plug-n-play.. I went to the Dikom website and they don't offer any driver downloads. Any other suggestions?I have checked with another sd card and the reader works fine. is the card reader working?do check if the driver is installed..a good option is to use an external card reader..also check if the card is snugly fit inside the card reader.is the card reader working?do check if the driver is installed..a good option is to use an external card reader..also check if the card is snugly fit inside the card reader.

"SD" cards larger than about 2GB are actually SDHC cards. SD and SDHC cards fit the same slots, but they are slightly different electrically. Many cameras won't work with SDHC (high capacity) cards. SDHC is not backwards compatible.
It sounds like your camera is able to understand SDHC, but your card reader is not. It won't cost much to buy a new card reader, but make sure the specs mention SDHC.
You won't be able to use a card larger than about 1GB (maybe 2GB) in this camera. "SD" cards larger than 2GB are actually SDHC cards. yes you can directly use the SD card slot, make sure you unlock the write protection before inserting it into the slot if you wish to modify or copy the contents from or to the card.
Check to make sure it isn't an SDHC card. Most older card readers aren't able to read the formatting of the newer cards. You may need to buy a new card reader with SDHC support.
Your slot in the iPAQ is a SD slot, not a SDHC slot - therefore it will not read the card. Your PC card is probably a dual reader. The SD cards look the same but are different. Have a read of this...

The first thing you will have to check the card. There is slot on the
card that contains a switch. This will lock the card so that it is
write-protected. This will cause the unsupported card error.
If the card looks fine, try a card reader just to confirm that the card has not been corrupted.
If
the card is functional and you can read its contents from the PC or
another SD-slot device, then the issue is your camera. The slot
contains thin copper prongs that comes in contact the copper surface on
the back of the SD card. If the prongs are bent or damage, then the
camera cannot read your card.
When You Insert your SD card into the internal card reader, then the SD card is not recognised by the system and the SD card drive doesn't show there. The problem can be because of driver issue, system issue and device issue. To fix the problem you need to go at device manager if there is a yelllow sign in SD card controller, the problem is most probably caused by a driver issue. Then you need to update the driver. You can also download the driver for your card reader.
Also, check if your SD Card is broken. You can also check it into different devices port.
If it is detected then you can backup of your data.
If the problem not resolved by any means and you require you SD Card data then I will suggest you read - https://www.stellarinfo.co.in/services/removable-media-recovery.php
What size is the SD card in GBs? If it is larger than 2GB (4 or 8) do you have a SDHC card reader? Also try formating the card first in the phone and then using it. Using it straight out of the package, while able to be written, my have difficultly with other devices reading the data.
try the 4gb card in a camera or phone. If the card is formatted in fat, it wont be recognized as the fat has a gb limit under 4 I believe. May want to reformat it in a camera or phone with fat32

Fujitsu Tablet reads a 1 Gig SD but does not read a 2 Gig card.
