Our dryer does not function after a slight power outage due to an electrical storm. The number 88 blinks for a minute then goes to 18 . There is no response to the control panel , no buttons work!

brand and model numbers would be very helpful. without this info, I would try unplugging, wait about a minute, then plug back in. sometimes units can be reset by just cycling the power. Good luck.

My control display is not working along with all of the associated components. Additionally, it sounds like something is continuously running behind the display after I turn off the engine I couldn't...

There is circuit board behind the instrument cluster that has batteries, when those batteries begin to die the board will shut down non vital systems. Also this board controls the over head display as well as the center and iDrive systems.

Accessing the System Control Center
To open the System Control Center on a web browser installed on a computer that is connected to the satellite modem,

1. Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer or Netscape.
2. In the browser address bar, type www.systemcontrolcenter.com or 192.168.0.1 and press Enter.

Climate controls are now in Celsius. HELP

On your DIC (driver information center) to the left you will see 3 buttons arranged vertically.
The ENG/MET button is used to switch between english and metric. Push that button until all displays are in english, that should return your climate control to fahrenheit.

Once you have completed that, push and hold the "reset" button down for 2 seconds ( button just below the ENG/MET button). That should reset you DIC to the default brightness as well as your other displays.

Give it a try and let me know.
