Well, I'm not sure what your actually trying to do, but the whole purpose of a wine cooler is to cool, not to freeze and the temperature should really get no colder than 34 degrees F.

SOURCE: Avanti WC492D wine cooler temperature control does not work

the wine cooler has to be at least 3" away from the wall, do not block the air flow to the condenser. or check power plug to outlet is it secure.

I had this issue and it had all to do with ventilation. If the fridge is in too tight of a space without any type of air space this will be the result. I was able to cut into the cabinet behind the fridge and put a 18" x 18" grate that allowed air to move. Problem solved!

My wine cooler won't go below 12degree

wine should not be colder than 45 degrees, it mutes the flavor..If you wanted something to go lower you should have gotten a beverage cooler, not a wine cooler :)

I have a Haier BC112G. It is not cooling at all. Temp panel works, so I can set the thermostat up or down, but nothing happens and it just goes back to room temp after that.

Our magic chef wine cooler (mcwc50dbt) when temp is set on digital panel at 45-50 it jumps immediately back to 70 degrees constantly

What is the temperature setting for normal wine cooling?

It's between 55 and 65 degrees fahrenheit. If you're storing a lighter red wine, you'd want to keep it on the lower end (55 degrees). And for the darker (deep) red, you'd want to keep it on the higher end (65 degrees). All white wines should be on the lower end, and below. You can drop down to 50 degrees if you'd like. I hope this helps. Good Luck!

COOLER TEMP CONTROL SEEMS NOT TO BE WORKING.  TEMP GOES DOWN TO 42 AND STAYS THERE.

thats because 42 degrees is the optimum temperature for wine to be at. unlike other beverages wine coolers only go to 42 degrees.

Temp too high

lamgrimes9,
Welcome to Fizya.,

You said, your Oster wine refrig won't lower its temperature below 76 degrees. I have it for about 5 months, and it worked fine all this time with a setting of 50 degrees. Now it refuses to lower its temp. It reverts back to 76 everytime. Can someone give me any ideas about what is wrong? FYI Mine did not come with an owner's manual.

Sounds like the Thermostat is bad.
