We have a Bizhub c450, and it seems to be stuck in scan-to-fax and can't be reset to the scan-to-email setting. When I push the scan button and enter the email destination we receive an email full of nonsense, since it thinks it is sending a fax. I feel like we've tried everything but does anyone know if there is a way to reset this? Thanks!
Did you set it up to scan to email. info such as authentication, smtp server, valid email address use the copier web page to install this info.

C0212 is a LCT (large capacity tray) shift motor, or lock release failure (they both use the same code)
Open the lower paper tray, and look for anything unusual.
Sounds like the paper was loaded incorrectly, and the tray tried to lift.

To scan to email, Administrator email address must be set in the machine (any bogus email address will work too).
Also, email server address must be input as IP address if DNS or WINS is not running in LAN.

I changed the SMTP address from a name to an IP and that resolved it for me.

It's been a while since you posted that but you may just need to slide it back out and shake it back and forth (long ways) a few times. We had the same problem and the konica minolta tech told us to do that. It worked. DO NOT turn it upside down though.

try with trouble reset
turn off the machine, press and keep pressed utility counter, turn on the machine
on the display you'll see the Trouble reset button on the display, touch it and turn off and on the machine
check if error disappear
