You need to slide the oven out of the cutout, just 3-4".
Shut the breaker for the unit
for the upper oven remove the control panel,2 screws either side.
Remove the screws that hold the switch bracket in place, again 2 screws on the side. You can then slide the switch forward and replace it.

If it is the lower oven switch then remove the center trim and do likewise to the switch bracket.

Oven won't turn on, self clean lite flashes, replaced control board and checked door switch (ok) nothing

Check the oven door lock assembly for a bad microswitch, there are likely two switches and a motor operated cam that the machine uses to 'feel' whether the door is locked or not when you choose self-clean, if one switch or the other (or both) are not working or the cam is not aligned properly, the unit will be stuck, and will not work as a safety feature... The temp. sensor is also involved and should be tested for 1080 ohms at room temp. (70 F)

Frigidaire stuck in DR mode

Good Morning ShawnR, thank you for your post!

An error code DR commonly refers to a door lock malfunction. I understand you have reprogrammed the range by unplugging it. It is important to wait approximately ten minutes and then turn your range back on. Typically, this will clear most false error codes. If the error code continues to display, your range could possibly have a faulty door latch, light switch or EOC (electronic oven control). I am fairly confident that an authorized service agent will be able to restore your appliance to its normal operating condition. You can often locate a qualified service technician on the manufacturer website.

Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to assist you!

The grill on my Hotpoint hug 52 will not stay alight

For anyone experiencing this issue, grill won't stay alight or it does but goes out after few seconds or minutes and won't stay running. this item is so overlooked however check the FSD is actually in the flame and getting hot, check your flame is consistent the same size burn across all the burner and if you changed the FSD and checked its all in order then its the grill door micro switch. yes there is a small microswitch that cuts off the circuit to the FSD and shuts gas off if the door is closed. This microswitch goes bad from the heat and causes the issue.

Model 720EF. Model No 059040415. The grill will not work. The top oven is still working but the grill light or fan will not come on at all. Stoves have told me over the phone that it could be the...

First things first. The top oven lights ONLY come on when the top oven is switched on. Operating the grill DOES NOT turn the lights on. If you wish to see what you are grilling, you have to turn the top oven control knob on to its first position as well as turning the grill on.
Secondly, the grill only works when the door is open. The grill does not work when you shut the door. When you open and shut the door, you should be able to hear the microswitch operating. It is located in the right hand side of the cooker, between the inner and outer panels - you cannot see it. I haven't seen the switch first hand but they normally come with an arm that contacts the door mechanism and the door mechanism operating, causes the arm to move, which causes a button on the switch to move and make the circuit. It has been known for the arm on the microswitch to bend with use so it no longer works correctly.
If you have checked all above and you hear the switch operating, then it could have failed. They are quite common, so if you can't get one from STOVES, try espares or someone like Maplin or RadioSpares.
The get to the microswitch you have to take the oven out of the housing and then take the right hand panel off. You should then be able to see it and check its operation.
All the best

F9 error error code won't go away, even when turn oven off whirlpool RB260PXYB under counter oven checked air vent is OK, not clogged checked circuit board looks OK, relays look OK

This indicates a problem with the door latch switch. Try moving the latch around by hand to see if it will reset. If not this is likely the microswitch that control the mechanism. You will need to partially uninstall to acess. Once you acess it check it for continuity. It should have none when latch is open and some when closed. If you need diagrams or illustrations of your model enter your model # at www.appliancehelponline.com the microswitch is #34 in the diagram
