Is there a way for me to do a system restore from my windows xp bios menu?

My emachines T3516 will not boot Windows xp. Safe mode, safe mode with networking, & safe mode with command prompt are not options. When I click on any of them a ton of script appears and there are no options displayed. My screen freezes on the script for a few seconds, displays a "no signal" message, and then returns to the boot menu.

You can also try to boot from USB stick as I anticipate that you do not have a Windows installation disk. Here is a procedure to consider:

I had an adventurous itch to suggest you run safe mode repair following a successful boot but sanity returned. You are better off following normal recovery procedures as you have so much down.

SOURCE: Windows XP operating system does not load.

You need to repair your windows xp installation.
Insert the xp install cd and power off - then power on your pc.
If the screen says "press any key to boot from cd" then do that.
It takes a while until you get to choose options.
Choose the repair previous installation option by pressing the R key when prompted.
Follow the instructions on the screen and you should be fine.

It is possible for the Windows operating system on your eMachines computer to have a critical failure. If the operating system on your eMachines computer is failing, you can use your recovery discs to restore your computer. Recovery discs come with your purchase of an eMachine, and contain your operating system and all your basic drivers. You can recover your eMachines W series in about an hour.

Turn off your computer and press "F8" to enter the BIOS menu. Tab over to the "Boot Sequence" or "Boot Order" menu. Move your optical drive to the top of the list. Press "F11" to exit and save changes. Insert your recovery disc into your optical drive, then restart your computer. Press any key to boot from disc. Select the "Full Recovery" option from your recovery disc menu. Allow the recovery procedure to complete. Hope this helps.

Wont load passed windows xp screen

Try holding down the "F-8" key when the emachines logo appears, see if you get a prompt for "safe mode". If you can get the system up and running in safe mode, shut it back down from the start menu. That should rewrite the boot sector and may clear the problem.

Emachine w3107 reboots when windows xp loads

These kinds of issues are most often related to driver conflicts. First thing you need to do is reboot your PC while holding F8, until you receive the menu about booting in to Safe Mode. Try booting in to Safe Mode.

If you can get in to Safe Mode, disable any new devices you have recently installed, reboot again, this time letting it try to boot all the way to Windows.

If it reboots again, go back in to Safe Mode and disable/uninstall something else.

Basically, it is a process of elimination. Safe Mode loads a very minimal set of system drivers, so if you can boot in to Safe Mode but not in to full Windows, the problem is one (or more...) of the drivers that load in Windows but don't load in Safe Mode.
