Something rattling under the drum

I have a kenmore elite he3t front load washer. There is something, a screw, a pebble maby under the drum and when it spins it sounds awful. How can I get my washer apart so I can get to it. Do I have to take the top off, or go in from th rear. There does not seem to be any way to get to it from the front. I have what sounds like a ball bearing rolling around behind the drum.  It sounds awful when the washer is on the spin cycle.  I have checked the vanes and to see if there is something loose to have created the ability for something to get behind the drum.  I can't find a problem, so the next step is to remove the drum to see what is rolling around.  The drum spins freely and I feel as if I am playing roulette hearing the ball roll around.  What is the easiest way to dismantle the washer?

Strangely enough, I found the problem to be in the motor. If the noise becomes pronounced during the high speed spin cycle, then that is the problem. I had a repairman out for mine and they wanted to replace the drum, however when I took off the back and removed the belt, I could turn the drum separate from the motor and could hear that the problem was in the motor bearing, not the drum. Hope this helps.

Kenmore Elite Washer (He3t) front load

The bearing in the duet is attached to the outer rear tub of the washer. You have to remove the whole rear half of the outer tub. Take off the back and you will see all the screws around the tub where they attach together. you have to buy the whole rear half too. They wont let you replace just the bearings.

Kenmore elite washer problem

sounds as if you have a drain issue, most common cause of fault is theres something stuck in the pump housing. remove the lower acess panel(3 screws along the bottom of the forn of unit) youll gain acess to the pump housing, remove the large cover to the "button trap" by uncscrewimg the cover, it will be righthin front of you in the center of machine when cover removed, im sure youll find your blockage within there

Kenmore Elite HE3t Model#11044932200

How long is long? I have to hold the button down for about 5 seconds and I think that is to keep from accidentally turning the machine on . If it is longer than 5 seconds then maybe something IS wrong.

Replacing the drum baffle in kenmore elite he3t front loading washers

The baffle basket, I ordered from sears for my Kenmore Elite he3t washer was a "new" design but the screw holes lined up. My baffle basket did not come with the screw either. I took out the screw from an existing baffle basket and found something close. Test it in the baffle basket before you try to install it. Be careful not to drop the screw or bit.

To replace the baffle basket. Remove top of washer using a screwdriver with a T20 torque bit. There are three screws at the rear. The top slides back about an inch and lift up. Place aside. Then you will see a hose going into the drum. Ignore the clamp, just squeeze the end going into the drum and work it out. Now you need to insert the baffle basket in the drum through the front door. It is easiest to rotate the drum so you are inserting it on the bottom. It slides in with the small end toward you and you must pull it forward. Hold the drum for leverage. Now rotate the drum so the new baffle is on top. You need to line up the screw hole and screw in a small screw. Replace the hose and top of washer.

Good Luck...
