I lost remote to my coby converter box so I bought a GE universal remote, and there is no code listing for coby converter boxes.
Unfortunately, The GE and RCA universal remotes on the market DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT work with the Coby Digital convertor box, even though the RCA says it does, It does not so stop pulling your haior out thinking your programming it wrong.
There is however a remote that does work with the Coby DTV convertor and that is theSony RMVLZ620 Learning remote, but here is the catch-22. It is a learning remote, it will NOT work with Coby Remote codes, you have to teach it with an existing Coby Remote control. This fix will not work if your current coby remote is broken.
My suggestion? Go out and get the RCA DTA800B1 Digital TV Convertor box. They are cheap enough ($50 bucks) can find them at any walmart and they actually work pretty darn good. Oh and best of all...if the remote breaks on it ANY universal remote will work with it.

Not a complete solution, but, around the last page (pg. 14) of your converter box manual there are codes listed for universal remotes. I happen to have a Philips remote that is listed. My code to control my dtv box is 0354. It appears that they have all codes listed for all Radioshack model universal remotes. I would suggest getting a Radioshack remote for Your "Digital Stream" (Radioshack) dtv box...
