Check the drain hose for kinks. Then check entire circuit: tub drain>drain hose filter>drain hose pump> drain hose for blocks. The particulars for your model would be in the owners manual or service maual.

We would recommend balling up the clothing similar to the size of a soccer ball, and place around the agitator one at a time. We would also recommend stacking it up so it's around the sides and the agitator plate is visible with all of the clothing around it. Do not fill up past the 2nd to last row of holes in the basket to help overloading. The bulky cycle will allow more water to enter the tub, but will not spin on the highest spin setting. Since the washer uses less water than a traditional washer it makes it harder for it to remove excess detergent, and it can redeposit on the clothing. Use no more than 2 tablespoons per load, filling all the way to the top row or holes. Make sure the water heater is at 120°F, the best temperature to mix with cold water in. A lower temperature may not make the water hot enough, and the detergent will not dissolve properly. 5d is suds warning. The motor is being overworked from too much suds caused by improper measurements or detergent or both.

Run your washer without detergent a few times. Remember this washer uses less water than a normal washer it has 2 pumps. one recirculates a small amount of water over them clothes. You go adding in a regular amount of clothes and that washer fancy electronics gonna have a cow.

Hello harnweys. Definitely switch to another brand of HE detergent, and always choose a liquid as opposed to a powder. Finally, be careful not to overload your machine, set the water level to a higher setting too! Joe

I would highly NOT recommend it. powder likes to clump inside the front loads. I would use a fragrence(SP) free soap if dreft is not available inliquid or h.e. as well be aware most baby detergents are not flame retardent. meaning in case of fire the soap residue left on the clothes naturally do not resist to flames as most detergents do.

The troubleshooting page in the owner's manual says: 5d "Sd" Suds Detected - Did you use regular detergent? Regular or hand-washing detergents are not recommended for this washer. Use only High Efficiency (HE) detergent. Did you add too much detergent? Always measure detergent. Follow detergent manufacturer's directions. If excessive suds are detected, the washer will display this code while running a suds reduction correction routine at the end of the wash cycle.The susds reduction routine removes extra suds and asures proper rinsing of your garments. If te code remains and the wash cycle dial is flashing after the recovery routine has stopped, re-select your desired cycle using cold water. Press start. Do not add detergent.

The manual that came with the machine explains that the Sd error means "suds" and that means you are putting way too much detergent in, or aren't using HE detergent. If you keep doing this you're going to damage your machine. These washers are so water efficient, you only have to use about 1/4 to 1/3 the HE detergent the bottle recommends. Suds-lock has been the culprit behind many a HE washer death since their inception. Hope this helps.

there are 2 reason for not getting clothes clean:

1) water supply
if you don't have enough incoming water, the clothes will not get clean and you'll have detergent residue left on your clothes
2) detergent
you have to use the He detergent for the best results
