What does this code mean. It has come on the screen after the final spin, which incidentally does not leave the clothes as dry as they normally are.

The
filter is inside the machine. Turn off the power and pull out the machine to
get to the rear. Pull out the hose you
see going into the wall pipe, lay at floor level or plastic bag to drain out
remaining water in machine. Remove the panel at the bottom (2 screws) where the
discharge hose comes out. You should see a black concertina type tube coming
from below the drum attached by a jubilee clip. The filter is inside. Loosen
the clip and pull away the tube, take out the filter and clean it. When you
replace it don't forget to put the ball float back in (exactly as you found it)
and check it’s well fixed by running a spin cycle before sealing up. Caution, the exit drain hose shd be fitted at
the exact location where you found it, abt three feet up from ground level.

Technical helpline will be able to tell you what F10 means

this worked for me:
First empty the machine by lowering the hose at the rear to ground level into a container. Take off the white plastic cover on rear at bottom. You will see black rubber hose connected to barrel of machine in right hand corner. Undo the silver screw on the band securing the hose. (Biggest band). You can now pull the hose down to reveal a "table tennis like" ball. Lift it out carefully and you will probably find an obstruction like a coin or similar. I found a hairgrip but it was enough to stop the ball functioning. DO NOT TAKE OFF THE WHITE HOSE CLIPS

Further to my comments re clearing scrap from table tennis ball after code F4. Machine started ok but then F5 came up. Had to take the pump off and apart to reveal broken hairclip actually seized in pump. If you are handy at all this is simplicity itself.
Slide pump to left and lift and it comes clear. Take off 2 black hoses only where connected to main machine. Pull off electrical connection. Pump and hoses lift out easily. 3 screws open the pump. Clean any obstruction and reassemble. A 30 minute operation.

My WT960 was also very noisey on the spin cycle, but it had been like this since new, but became increasingly loud, to the point it sounded like it was going to explode. Boyfriend took machine apart to find the concrete weight had also loosened, bolts tightened, though awkward to get to. Now the machine spins ALOT silently than before!

Usually answered in minutes!
Thanks Mike,
I'll confirm tomorrow how the advice went and tell of progress.
Next question: how to get th bottom plinth cover off without breaking all the tabs.
If you can ease it forward and get a flat screwdriver between the side of the machine and the front cover the edge should pop forward, then the middle pulls forward and the other end comes out easier.
I have managed to make contact with the 'Service team' at Hotpoint. They could not answer the question - What does F-02 mean. Overall the answers that I got here were helpful, especially the one about the plinth at the bottom. Now though I think that I have worked out what F-02 means. The drum is stiff to turn, more so than normal and it is definitely no free moving. So now this looks like the motor has gone or that the drum bearing has gone. I'm checking this today and will add more comments later. This may be of help to others, in the meantime thank you to Mike Cooper and the others for their help.
