I have a Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Pro V3205 laptop and a Panasonic NV-GS3 MiniDV Camcorder. Formerly I could make connection with my old notebook via fireware cable and an interface card, but this new notebook has no interface card space.
I have tried some cables to do the connection (IEEE, video) but the laptop can not recognize the camera. What shall I do?
Thank you

I checked on Panasonics USA support website and neither of these two model numbers appear.
Here is the link to the support page:
http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-electronics/support/Drivers-and-Downloads/list-Digital+Camcorders
There is a phone number to Panasonic support on this page as well as the international link if they were purchased outside the US.

I had a look and it looks like a regular mini usb cable that you need to connect to your laptop, or a regular mini firewire cable, both are available online for under $10 or at a local electronics store
