Open the door on it. Gently pinch the seal and pull on it while giggling it and it will eventually come out to expose the Chanel with two holes that expose the screw heads. Simply tighten on the handle from the backside and push the seal back in place and your done.

How do I remove the door handle?

Brand and model would really help. Some handles have thin metal inserts that need carefully pried out with a small blade and then you will see the mounting screws inside the handle. Other handles have small allen head set screws in the side of each end of the handle that need loosened until the handle pulls off. Other handles have no screws showing but need pushed upward to release them from the mounting studs. Can't give the exact procedure without a model number.

How to remove door handle on hyundai santa fe

A door panel removal tool works best, but if you have a stiff putty knife about 4" long and 1 1/4" wide it will work if you are careful. Start at the bottom of the panel and work your way around. Insert the blade all the way in between the panel and the door with the edge of the blade right next to the plastic fastener. Then pull the tool handle away from the door slowly. It will take a bit of pressure to get the first one or two clips to release.

The other steps I follow to remove this panel are as follows:

1. Remove the screw in the trim behind the door handle and then remove the trim piece.

2. Remove the door release cable from the handle.

3. Remove the door handle mounting bolts and then remove the handle.

4. Remove the three door panel mounting screws: 2 on the back edge of the panel and 1 in the door pull cup.

5. Separate the panel edges from the door. (see above) Lift the panel up starting with the back edge first to free the top lip of the panel from the door.

6. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the switches and light. (You may need a very small flat blade screw driver to depress the locking tabs on the switch connectors.)

plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks

How to change door opening to other side

Hi Eleanor,
Without a specific model number I can only give general information, but, Kenmore fridges are all about the same, so here we go. Take a close look at your unit. You should observe several small plugs inserted on the side of the doors that don't have the hinges currently mounted. These inserts cover threaded holes that are used to mount the hardware for the hinges. If your fridge has two doors one above the other. remove the top hinge hardware, lift the door up off of the bottom hinge pin. then remove the bottom hardware on the top door. Typically the mounting screws are either phillips head or 1/4" hex head machine screws. You should now see that there is now a threaded hole in the same position on that side as the plug in caps on the other side. remove the caps from the one side and insert them in their respective holes on the other side. the door hinges will attach to the now exposed holes on the side that the plugs were removed from. But not yet. First remove the top hinge hardware on the bottom door, lift the bottom door off of the bottom hinge, and then remove the bottom door hardware relocating the bottom hardware to the other side. Install the bottom door onto the hinge pin of the bottom door hinge. Close the door then install the top hinge on the bottom door. Next install the bottom hinge and hardware for the top door, set the top door on the installed hinge, close the door add install the top door top hinge and hardware next. Same with the door handles. All of this info applies to the doors and the fridge itself.

LFX25975sw

There are Allen set screws on each end of the handles (Top/bottom for the refrigerator doors, left/right for the freezer compartment.) These screws are accessed through small holes in the side of the handle with a 2.5 mm (3/32") Allen wrench. There are on the bottom side of the freezer handle as it's installed. There are also mounting brackets under the handle that can be tightened with a 1/4" Allen wrench with the handle completely removed.

For pictures of the handle hardware, see page 9 of the manual for the LFX25975SW. This is page 10 of the pdf here: http://www.managemylife.com/mmh/owner_manuals/2228/LG-Bottom-Mount-Refrigerator-L0906255 . This link should display in your browser.

I hope this helps.

Cindy Wells
(Allen wrenches (Hex keys) are L-shaped tools with a hexagonal design where it contacts the screw head. You'll need the long side to get into the holes. Do not overtighten the screws - this can strip the threads. Then you'd need to replace the entire handle unless you can work a new screw into the spot.)

Loose freezer door handle

There is a "set screw" on the underside of the posts that connect the handle to the mounting posts on the face of the door of my Jenn-Air bottom freezer. Use an Allen wrench to loosen the set crew, which is very small (my Jenn-Air requires a 3/32" Allen wrench), and then tighten the bolt on the mounting post on the face of the freezer door. Position the handle over the post, then tighten the set screws with the Allen wrench. Cynthia

I NEED TO REPLACE PART 83242. HOW DO I REMOVE

I do not know what part #83242 is. A search of several reliable parts web sources, yielded no positive results. So, I'm guessing this may be a door handle(?). If so, to access the door handle mounting screws on MOST microwave ovens, you have to remove the inner door panel that goes around the perimeter of the glass. You can use a small screwdriver to carefully pry the plastic up and work your way slowly around the perimiter of the glass. Most microwave ovens also have grooves in the panel that you can insert the screwdriver into. Use care not to pry against the glass. The glass is tempered and also has an RF shield that prevents harmful microwaves from potentially harming the consumer. If you break the glass, you will need to purchase a new door.

The door handle screws are located behind the inner panel. Simply remove the broken handle and install the new one. Re-insert the inner door panel carefully and gradually work your way around the perimeter of the door glass and make sure it snaps back into place.

If you need to remove the entire door, simply open it all the way and lift at the hinges. The door will lift off the hinge mounts. You may wish to remove the door for an easier means of working on it. Especially, if the microwave is mounted above your range.

If you have questions, please let me know. If this is not what you are needing assistance with, please post back with the name of the part you are trying to replace. I hope you find this information helpful.
