If you want to compare Jaguar and Riccar sewing machines then the best option is to go to this Jaguar website and see which one you are interested. I do not have any experience of these. I cannot find 397 model in this.

I have this machine and the manual. I even still have the receipt from when I bought it in April 1990. It just stopped working this year. I might hold on to it and get it repaired one day. Handy little machine, I took it everywhere with me. Is there someplace I could send you a scanned copy if you're still looking for it?
