The easiest way to fix this is through the Apps menu. Hit the apps key, then scroll down until you see any language(espanol, Deutsch, etc.). It should give you the option of switching to either that language or restoring to English. I just tried this on a calculator that was set to German. I hit Apps and scrolled down until I recognized the option for Spanish, and it still worked. It let me switch back to English.
Hope this works for you.

Instead of resetting everything, just try going into the apps, then scroll down until you see espanol(spanish) and press enter. then it will come up with Texas Instruments 1:espanol 2:english. then press the number 2 and it will reset the language to english.

Hope this helps,

I was able to clear the memory to get back English. I had to follow the numbers on the menu because I can't read the German words on the menu.

key in 2nd MEM
key in 7 for resetting
go right arrow twice to select the third menu (like "ALL" in German)
key in 1 for ALL

This will clear all memory, archive, RAM and apps. I don't know how it got to German, but now I have English back.

Hope this helps you,

Dew

Change the language on ti-84 plus silver edition

Press the APPS key. In the list of apps you should see one or more language names (Deutsch, Espanol, Francais, etc). If you want one of them, pick it. Else pick any one of them by pressing the number or letter in front of the name. In either case, you'll see a screen offering a choice between English and that language. Make your selection.

Assuming you mean a TI-84 Plus Silver Edition, yes, I have. Simply pry up the tab at the bottom of the keyboard with a thumbnail and work the faceplate off from the bottom. Put the new one starting at the top and work your way down.

My problem is the same as this previous post! "my ti 84 plus silver edition seems to be on a different language setting because i dont understand anything it says. what do i do to change it back to...

Press the [APPS] button. Use arrow to scroll down along the list of apps. Look for apps that have names of languages (Francais, Espanol, Deutch, Dansk, Italiano, Norsk, any european language whose name you can recognize). Once you find the name of a language, highlight it and press ENTER. In the screen that is displayed inviting you to select a language, press 2:English. and press ENTER. The calculator localization should change to the default English language.
To avoid having to do that again, and to save memory spsce, delete the language apps you do not need. delete also the applications that are in those languages (periodic table, Cell Sheets, Science Tools, etc.

How can you change your language on your ti 84 silver edition calculator in under 4 key strokes

That would depend on what language-switching software you have loaded on the calculator. If you have one or more of TI's loaded, you can switch language by pressing APP, the digit corresponding to the language you want, then one more digit.

NO English on my TI 84

Hello,
English is the default language. If someone changed the setting, it must be because he/she used a foreign language locale. Press Apps and look for a foreign language Français, Espagnol, Svenka, Deutch and so on. Execute the one locale that you know a litle bit of. When the application executes it will ask you 1: English, 2: the other language. Press 1:English and you will be back in chartered territory.
If you do not need the other languages, delete those applications: You will have more memory to put some other applications that interest you more.

Hope it helps.
