PS3 Freezing We got the new GTA game when it first came out. We played in on our system for a couple of days and then the system just froze up. We turned it off and back on and it will play for a few seconds, then freezes up again. Of course its our of warranty now - and Sony offers no help. What are your suggestions? Thanks

Have you tried to reset / update your PS3? Try installing the game to your HDD, as well

Is your ps3 a 60 gig,because I remember my old ps3 freezing on gta as well,try playing without being signed in to psn.

im not a huge expert on ps3's but it sounds to me like the operating system within the PS3 has gone corrupt. no idea on how to fix this one though im afraid id suggest getting in contact with sony

if is new yes call sony and tell them what is going on and they will send you a box with a prepaid label for you to ship the ps3 and they will send you a replacement unit what is happening is that the laser is getting bad I sell new lasers for this unit but if is under warranty then send it to sony

i have the same problem dude. I played my PS3 pretty regularly for about 6 months, then one day it started freezing. I have been searching for a solution ever since, but all Ive been able to find out is that i can send it to Sony, with $150, and they will fix it and give me a ninety day warranty. But other than that i can't help you. If you found a better way, let me know please.

sad to say this, but maybe formatting the HD and then do a system update, might remove a possible glitch, but u will lose all info in the HD,other than that, i dunno.
Download an update to a memory stick with ur pc in case u need it.

you need to go to system seting and restore the whole computer it takes like 3 to 4 hours cos its updatin the whole system then u will have to insert game again and it will come up that theres a new version to upload and it doesnt take long for that then yer game will work.
