Yes you can but you'll need to install the Mac OsX driver to make it run through your Macbook Pro. You can download the Mac OSX driver from HERE,(open the link and select O.S i.e. Mac OSX and Language and click "submit", the download links will be displayed) it should also be included in the CD that came with the printer.
you need to install the software driver of your printer to the computer where your printer is connected.you can command the scanner at the computer not on the printer butoons.just click the scan button on the printer icon...tnx and goodluck!

select your printer from the list then select OS X and there should be a download link to the original software for Mac OS X and/or a replacement cd
If you previously were using a parallel connection for the G85 you will need a USB cable.
If your laptop is running Vista the G85 will work as a printer, I do not think there is a scanner driver for Vista for the G85. The G85 print driver is built into VIsta, you only need to turn on the printer and install the USB to have the printer automatically installed.
