Kenmore 80 series washer

My kenmore 80 series washer will fill up, wash, then it it starts to click over to drain but just stops in every cycle. The first few times i noticed it, I had to manually turn the knob at the exact same time it would normally switch into drain mode and it worked for those loads. I been trying to do that again, but nothing happens. What can I do about this? Is it fixable, expensive to repair, or can I do it myself?? I'm a poor college student that definately can't afford to buy a new washer. Please help me :)

If it is a direct drive system, it could be the coupler. Maybe a $15 dollar part at sears online parts shop. There is a good video on you tube showing the coupler fix.

How do I check and replace the water level sensor on my Kenmore 80 Series Hvy Dty Washer?

Try eserviceinfo.com/index as per your 80 series. There are various downloads there that may help access the water level sensor which is most likely the problem.

Kenmore washer stops spinning a few seconds in to the cycle.

Sounds like the brushes are struggling to get enough power to the motor to spin. Renew motor brushes

Kenmore 80 series washer doesn't stop filling up with water

Almost went and bought a switch until I widened by search for "kenmore washer 80 series overflow" and came up with this:
http://www.fixya.com/support/t1206464-kenmore_80_series_overflow

Turns out that a couple weeks ago, I had a really unbalanced load that probably shook off the tubing. Anyhow, saved me a trip to the supply store AND cost. Thanks to the original poster!
