Thanks to everymac.com i found your answer, i was interested in what would happen.

Connect your iPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one iPod synced with), and open iTunes. When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked. If you can't unlock iPod using either [the code or connecting it to the computer you use to manage its songs]. . . you can restore your iPod to factory settings using iPod Updater. Please note that this will erase all data on your iPod. Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to your iPod. If you want to change the primary computer that your iPod is associated with, do this: 1. Restore your iPod. Warning: The restore process cannot be undone. All of your songs and files will be deleted. Always make a backup of your important data. 2. Connect your iPod to the computer that you want to be the primary computer. 3. Open iTunes and synchronize.

Hello :

Put the iPod into DFU mode. It will wipe everything off your iPod but it will at least make sure you can get into it.
1:Locate the Home and Power buttons on your iDevice. The Home button
is the round button below the screen; the Power button is therectangular button located on top of your iDevice.

2:Plug your iDevice into your computer.

3:If you can’t count well in you head, look at a clock that displays the seconds because the timing of these steps is very important.

4:Press and hold the Home and Power buttons for 10 seconds. The screen should cut off at around 8 seconds.

5:While still holding the Home button, release the Power button.

6:Continue holding the home button for about 15 seconds.
7:The screen will remain off and the iDevice will look unchanged,
but, if you’re on Windows , you will hear the connected hardware sound; if your on a Mac,

iTunes will open and tell you that your iDevice is connected in “Recovery” mode.

good luck .

My ipod stoped doing anything, it is locked on screen with message saying I have to wait over 2 billion minutes which is calculated to the ripe old age of 73, cant do anything

The iPod touch becomes locked when an invalid unlock code is entered too many times.

There are two ways you should be able to unlock the iPod.

The first is to connect it to the computer it was last synced with. After iTunes recognizes it, you should be able to unlock it.

If that doesn't work or you can't remember your unlock code, you will need to put the iPod into recovery mode, and then restore the iPod through iTunes.

To do this:
1) Turn the iPod off.
2) Hold down the iPod's Home button and plug the iPod into the computer it was last synced with.
3) Release the Home button when the iTunes image appears on the iPod's screen.
4) Wait for iTunes to recognize that the iPod is in recovery mode, and then follow the onscreen instructions to restore the iPod.

Note: You may lose some of the information stored on the iPod.

If you cannot unlock the iPod after doing this, you will need to call Apple Customer Support.

You can put the iPod into recovery mode, and then restore the iPod.

To do this:
1) Turn the iPod off.
2) Hold down the Home button on the iPod while connecting it to the computer it was last synced with.
3) Release the Home button when the iTunes image appears on the iPod's screen.
4) Wait for iTunes to recognize the iPod and then follow the onscreen instructions to restore the iPod.

Lost my code to apple ipod 8g

restore it w/ itunes. 1. Turn on your iPod (in my case it would only get as far as displaying the Apple logo
2. Hold the power and home buttons down (the iPod will power off after 10 seconds, but keep holding those buttons down)
3. After the iPod powers off, release the power button (but keep holding the home button down)
4. After a couple more seconds, you should hear that magical “ding dong” that means the iPod is coming back alive, and that Windows has detected it. You may even see a little “New hardware” popup in Windows. It is now safe to release the home button, and your iPod is in DFU mode.
5. Now iTunes will see it as a DFU’ed iPod and should ask you to automatically restore its firmware.
6. iTunes has to download the new firmware, and it takes a while, so go make a sandwich.

Ok i locked my ipod and cant remember the combo and i cant find "my computer"in which every1 says to go to to unlock it i need help!!!!!

If your iPod touch is password locked, the only way to get past it is to force the unit into restore mode by doing the following: 1. Plug the iPod touch in to your computer. 2. Hold the sleep/wake button and the menu button down at the same time. Keep them both pressed until you see the 'restore' screen (an iPod cable and an iTunes disc symbol) on the iPod touch. Release the buttons. 3. iTunes should now display the iPod touch, along with a message that the iPod touch is in recovery mode. Click the RESTORE button in iTunes to restore the iPod touch. Please note that doing this will erase the contents of the iPod touch -- that's how the system is designed to work: a passcode lock is meant to protect the data on the iPod.

8GB iPod Touch Disabled

you will have to restore your ipod to factory default settings in itunes.
or you can jailbreak the ipod with software like quickpwn.

Here is how to restore your ipod in itunes.
You will need to put the itouch in DFU/Recovery mode to get it to connect.

Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman";} Plug the usb cable into the Ipod and NOT into the computer.
Hold the Home Button down for 5 second (do not release it)
Then Press and hold the Power Button for approx 10 secs (count them out)
Your iPod will reboot.
Release the power button and continue holding the Home button for an additional 27secs.
You may see the screen go blank or not.
Plug the USB end into the computer with itunes open.
Your ipod will mount in recovery mode.
Restore it and Your all set.

4got combination (screen lock) ipod nano

The ONLY way to resolve this issue without the code is to restore using iTunes.
How to restore iPod (ARTICLE NUMBER HT1339)
Open iTunes, and then connect your iPod to your computer using the USB or FireWire cable that came with your iPod.

After a few moments, your iPod will appear in the Source panel in iTunes.
Select your iPod in the Source panel and you will see information about your iPod appear in the Summary tab of the main iTunes windows.

Click the Restore button. You will be prompted with one or more restore options that may prompt iTunes to automatically download the latest iPod Software.

The 4 possible restore options are: Restore Option

1: Restore - Restores with same iPod Software version already on iPod. Restore Option

2: Use Same Version - Restores with same iPod Software version already on iPod even though a newer version is available. Restore Option

3: Use Newest Version - Restores with the latest iPod Software available. Restore Option

4: Restore and Update - Restores with the latest iPod Software available.

If you are using a Mac, a message will appear prompting you to enter an administrator’s name and password.

A progress bar will appear on the computer screen indicating that the first stage of the restore process has started.

When this stage is completed, iTunes will present one of two messages on screen with instructions specific to the iPod model you are restoring.
Restore Instruction 1: Disconnect iPod and connect it to iPod Power Adapter (typically applies to older iPod models).

Restore Instruction 2: Leave iPod connected to computer to complete restore (typically applies newer iPod models).

During the stage 2 of the restore process, the iPod will show an Apple logo as well as a progress bar at the bottom of the display. It is critical that the iPod remains connected to the computer or iPod Power adapter during this stage.

Note: The progress bar may be difficult to see since the backlight on the iPod display may be off.

After stage 2 of the restore process is complete and the iPod is connected to the computer, the iTunes Setup Assistant window will appear asking you to name your iPod and choose your syncing preferences similar to when you connected your iPod for the first time.

If for any reason at all this does not resolve your issue please do let me know :)

My sister put a lock on my ipod and now forgot the code how do i unlock it

Okay thats easy... for an ipod touch just put it in in DFU mode, so you hold down the menu and off button for 10 seconds. then you want to let go of the off button and continue to hold onto the menu button for about another 10 seconds.. they plug it into your computer and iTunes will say they found an ipod and that you need to restore it.. Just restore it and reload all of your stuff from iTunes.
