What that means is that you put in a size of paper that your printer can't use. Apparently, the paper you loaded was detected by the printer and was recognized as being a size it isn't designed to use. HP.com has a web page for your printer that tells you which paper sizes you can use for your printer.
When the web page opens, scroll down to the Paper specifications area and look for the Paper sizes table. Use only the paper sizes that are listed there in your printer. Good luck.

These are the usual paper size use. It's 8 1/2 by 11 inches and the other one that you could use in most printers is 8 1/2 by 14. The first one is known as Letter size, the other one is known as Legal size. Hope this information help in resolving your issue. Have a great day.
This might be due to that the printer in the tray does not reflect the paper size setting on the printer, or the program you're printing with. eg. Maybe you're printing in word, and the page setup size is set to legal size, but you have letter size on the printer.
The unexpected paper size may cause the above error. Whenever your printer detects an abnormal size, this error appears on the device. It mainly happens when more than one sheet are attached with each other or when the paper trays are not set properly. To handle this issue, reload the trays with appropriate paper size followed by front and back tabs. For all the trays verify that correct paper size adjustments have been done. Now enable the jam recovery button and press the button 'GO' to print your document.
probably itsa different size and this is the issue ..cause the actual paper does not have much to do with cause most printers work with all kinda paper *** long as it is the right dimension in format ...A4 in general ... so ...print your logo on paper that will be detected...you can also make a trial first ...
This problem occur when ink head is dirty and also the head cleaning plastic mechanical cleaner is full of jammed color. 3210 model can be opened and the ink head plastic cleaner can be changed. The ink head is the moving part on the metal axel.
Isopropanol is good for cleaning.
The printer does not auto detect your paper size and so when your Legal size document was printed on Letter size paper, you get a 34 Short Paper message.

Driver could be corrupt. Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came withthe printer. When the software program asks you to connect theprinter to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly. Hope this helps. Bud
