7 button doesn't work

My 7 button stopped working. Nothing happens when I press it. I tried getting an O and that didn't work either. Nothing appear in the display when I press the 7 button. It is like it isn't connected. Is there a way to reset it or a way to fix it? All the other buttons are working fine. Thank you.

If you're talking about your laptop, try to gently remove the button and clean it with a laptop cleaner. spray a bit of it on a small piece of cotton until its damp, not wet, and clean the area, and put the button back on.

If it is infact something wrong with the sensor take it to a local computer store. If you're working with a mac, apple should have a solution for you.

My touchpad is erractic and the mouse buttons don't work.

Absolutely! You should have changed the mouse and keypad first. That's a problem with many Dell laptops. Mine included.

Acer 5742g Beep at boot up

I have a problem that looks like this one.

At boot up, after the POST, each time the HDD led blinks, the laptop produces a loud "beep", and refuses to boot, as if this phenomenon prevented the HDD to be read.

If I press the power button, it stops beeping. When I release it, it starts beeping again.

If I press F8 at the beginning and then ask for a normal boot, It boots normally. Anyway, in windows, I have some strange activity, like I would continually pressing Alt+Tab. If I press Esc, it stops immediately and then all seems to work fine.

Any clue?

Can't get "no signal" off

Hey cthaemar, it sounds like it may have been switched off the correct channel. If it is hooked up with a Coaxial cable it will be on channel 3 or 4, and if it is hooked up with an AV cable then it would be on one of the inputs.

If it's channel 3 or 4 try pressing the gray TV button on the remote and changing the channel. If that doesn't work you may need to use the TV's remote or the TV itself.

If it's on an input press the same gray TV button and then try pressing Input. With this you can also try the TV remote or the TV itself to change those if our remote doesn't change it.

Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns!

I have a 2 in 1 VHS/DVD player. It is a GO VIDEO DV1130. When I press the eject button, nothing happens. The tray doesn't budge. I currently have a DVD in the machine as we speak. The DVD itself works...

Sounds like you've got a problem with either the Drive Motor, Drive Controller or Drive Belt.

It could be an easy fix but it depends on the where the fault is.

Does it make any noise or effort to open the tray?

If yes then its the Drive Belt thats either slipping or broken.

If you remove the top cover and then the cover off the DVD you'll see the drive belt at the front. If it's still in one piece then you can just remove it and get one a few mm smaller.

My viper remote, no matter what button I push on it just beeps and an icon that looks like a antennae flashes but nothing happens.

Try this first, unplug the 2-way antenna on your windshield. Let it sit for at least a few minutes. Try recoding the remotes after you replug the antenna back in. This is an issue i have seen on some of the Viper units. Usually they never have issues, but here and there they need reset.
