I own FRIGIDAIRE ES100/105 (electric stove and oven). Yesterday I was using the oven and suddenly I heard a loud sound. I went to check it I found out the both the oven and stove were off. And not working. I went to check the power board I found out that the circuit break was off, then I put the circuit breaker on again and I went to check if the stove and oven are working again I found out the stove was working fine but when I press on the button BAKE before the minimum temperature was 350 appear on the panel now when I press on the button BAKE three lines appear (---). When I choose any degree of heat on the panel the oven dose not heat or any indication but the are some ticking sounds coming from behind the panel.

HI. The actual issue will be with the main logic board, which is where the main element control relays are mounted. These very important relays are damaged. The main board will need to be replaced, asap.

With that said, if you could be so kind; Please post the entire model number so that i may pull up all necessary part numbers needed, as well as, service manual links and diagrams to help with your repair.

Loud pop from Range, stove top still works

The pop was a shorted wire.
The short drew sudden over-amp at breaker.
Amps = heat.
Breaker senses heat and trips before wire to oven is damaged, and before the arcing short can cause a fire.
Was the short at the element?
I don't know, but sounds like the circuit board was damaged.
Of course they are putting electronics inside all appliances today instead of old mechanical dial, because it's cheaper or so much prettier... but new appliances more vulnerable to surge, and other electrical failures. Which is true for all 240V appliances not protected by whole house surge protector.
To test element.
Remove element.
Use a continuity tester across the element connections.
If there is continuity, then the element is probably functional.
Use a multimeter across same element, set multimeter to read ohms.
240 Volt, 3500 watt element should be about 16 ohms.
4500 watt about 12-13 ohms
Volts squared divided by watts = ohms
57,600 divided by 4500 watt = 12.8 ohms

I would guess that the short fried the circuit board, but there is a also a shorted wire somewhere that is still bare and dangerous while power is ON and you are touching oven or stove, unless 240V breaker is GFCI or arc fault, which probably not. Especially dangerous if you are moving stuff around trying to find problem while power is ON.

Frigidaire gallery stove, oven not working,

Morison,
The same thing happened to me about a week ago. I was preheating our electric oven, heard a very loud bang/pop. Checked and the oven had PF (power failure) I went downstairs and the breaker was tripped. Came back upstairs and to look at stove, the burners are working fine so I continued to preheat oven after a half an hour the oven was only slightly warm. Did you ever find out what was wrong?

Electric range heard a loud bang then it went dead

I WOULD DISCONECT THE POWER AND REMOVE THE BACK PANNELS AND LOOK FOR A SHORTED WIRE OR A BURN MARK ON THE BOARD. ALSO CHECK WHERE THE CORD ATACHES TO THE STOVE. GOOD LUCK!

Element blew in oven; now stove doesn't work....

Sounds like the loose oven element caused a short circuit, which may have fried a wire inside the range. Or, it may have tripped the circuit breaker (or blown the fuse) for the range circuit. Check your electrical panel. If the circuit is open, don't reset it until you've removed the remnants of the oven element.

first check your voltage, and the pigtail connections at the stove, then check your elements inside the oven something has shorted

Oven Problem

Check power going to the electronic module in back of the display. If power there you have a blown module. If no power check for a blown thermal fuze.
