SOURCE: My Koolspace cooler in my VK250 wine fridge quit cooling

I have the same problem with mine and have tried the same things as you have. I took my unit to a air conditioner service place and they said these units are not worth fixing. It would cost about $150 to add a valve so they refill the gas and then try to find out why it is leaking. I am about to order another one which makes me vary mad. My unit is 1.5 years old.

SOURCE: Haier Wine Cooler

Hi LinnieMcAdam,

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.

Your question is: Where can you find a 10 Watt replacement light bulb for your Haier Wine Cooler?

I usually have success at the hardware store. Start there. Then you can try the store where you bought it or call Haier.

Feel free contact me again!

SOURCE: E4 Code

Between phone calls to danby and my neighbor, we fixed this problem. My E4 was on the left (lower chamber). If you have one on the right it is the upper chamber. The E4 is a defrost sensor that can be ordered from Danby's distributor (call Danby for the one in your area). The part and shipping were around $30.

If your E4 is on the left...

- remove the top shelves
- open the cover inside the cooler above the digital read outs (the top unscrews)
- inside is were the repacement sensor plugs in
- replace the one with the long cord
- run the sensor down the back to the lower chamber
- replace all covers and parts

If the E4 is on the right...

- remove the top shelves
- look on the right hand wall for a black plastic grate, the sensor is under this grate
- replace the sensor (simple plug and play)
- replace the racks.

Please pass this on, it was a ***** to deal with Danby and I nearly trashed the cooler out of sheer frustration.

My wine cooler won't go below 12degree

wine should not be colder than 45 degrees, it mutes the flavor..If you wanted something to go lower you should have gotten a beverage cooler, not a wine cooler :)

Wine cooler keeps going off after a couple of hours

It probably goes off because it has reached the set temperature, it should come back on when it loses temp.

Power supply failing on Cuisinart CWC 1600 cooler

The hayni made in china internal power supply has faulty transformers on it that fail within anywhere from 6 months to 2 years. Solution. Remove the back panel, take out the internal power supply and replace it with another compatible AC 120v to 12v DC 5amp power supply. Often laptop power adapters will work. I used this one: 60w-12v-5A-AC-DC-Power-Adapter from the website mini-box and it only cost 15 dollars. The peltier pad draws upwards of 5amps, but the rest of the system is super lower power. Now my wine cooler is more energy efficient and and will run for at least 5-10 years. This power supply replacement takes about 20 minutes. You need: philips screw driver, wire cutter and stripper, two 16 guage wire nuts. That's it.
