Hi,

Try taking the battery out and leaving it out overnight then put it back in and try to turn on.

My dsc-w310 wont connect on my computer, it says switch on usb mass storage which is on? what to do?

Sometimes it is easier to remove the memory card from your camera and connect directly using a card reader. Modern computers often have a card reader built in for the popular cards like and SD card. Sony often have 'Sony Memory Stick' cards. This would usually mean you have to purchase a card reader separately unless it is a Sony laptop. Card readers are less than 10 GBP each often only 5 GBP. Connect card reader cable to a USB port open windows explorer or my computer, create a new folder on your computer and then click and drag the photos from the card reader to the folder on your computer.

How to turn on mass storage mode in sony x8

Hi Sweet Chris,

You don't have to select mass storage in Android phones just follow the following instructions:

1 Connect your phone to a computer using a USB cable.
2 Phone: Tap Connect your phone. The memory card is mounted to the computer.
3 Computer: Wait until the phone memory and the memory card appear as external
disks in the file explorer(My Computer).
4 Computer: Drag and drop or copy paste selected files between the phone and the computer.

If you find this solution helpful please give feedback.

Regards,
Sandy

How can i transfer built in memory card to memory card if built in already full

Hi bacayemilita,

I think you meant that you need to transfer your images from your camera's built in storage to your external memory card.

Please follow the below steps :-

  1. Connect you camera to your computer via the USB cable and then switch your camera on.
  2. Once you switch the camera on you will find an option for mass storage mode , please select that option.
  3. Remember to remove the memory card from your camera while you do the above step.
  4. Once you select the mass storage mode , you will find a removable drive being displayed in my computer , in this drive you will find all your images, so all you need to do is copy them all to your hard disk drive.
  5. Now if you want to copy these images to your memory card , you can either do it via connecting your memory card to a card reader and copy the images from your hard disk onto it Or you can connect the camera while keeping the memory card in , and you will find another removable drive for memory card , when you select mass storage mode.
  6. When you find the drive , just simply copy the contents from your hard disk to your memory card's removable drive.

Hope this helps ..:) Your feed back would be greatly appreciated.

Camera built-in memory is full. How do i either download or delete items from internal memory? Nothing shows up when i try to view items stored in internal memory, but camera says it is full.

Hi walthonolulu,

If the camera's built in memory is full , then all you need to do , is connect your camera in Mass storage mode,

I would recommend you to remove the memory card for extra memory from your camera and then connect it to your PC in mass storage mode,

Then you would find a removable drive being displayed in my computer option and then you would have all your photos in it.

First copy these photos to your hard drive or your desktop and then you can select them all and delete them together.

Hope this helps ..:) Your feedback would be appreciated.

I was given a blackberry pearl 8100 and am trying to import my pictures from my device. i was able to from my media card, but not from the device. how can i get these pics off my phone and onto my...

Hi,
Most of the mobiles will prompt the user to select the mode of connection when connected to computer such as "Mass storage mode/data transfer mode" and "PC suite/modem mode". If you select the "Mass storage mode/data transfer mode", then only your mobile phone's memory card is connected to your system just like pen drive. so only the pictures present in momory card can be accessed. For transfering pictures from phone memory, try the following methods,
1. Go to your file manager in mobile phone, move the pictures from your phone memory to memory card.
2. Install proper PC suite for your mobile, connect to system in phone mode/modem mode/pc suite mode. Then using the PC suite file manager in your system, oyu can access files stored on to phone memory as well as memory card.
3. Connect a bluetooth dongle to your system, establish a bluetooth connection to your mobile. Threw bluetooth file manager from your system, you can browse the phone memory of your phone.
I hope any of the above tips may solve your problem.

My compter does not regonize my LG Dare or Sd Card? How can I sync music to my LG Dare with the software. My carrier is Telus and I did not get the cd with any of the downloads to do so?

In order for the phone to work with ur pc u have to set/change the connectivity.

Go into Phone settings, then Connectivity, then USB Connection Mode, then select either Mass storage or Data Service, to use Mass Storage you must have a Memory card inserted into the phone, then you can select mass storage and use your phone as an external hard drive/memory stick. In this mode u can only transfer pics, music, videos etc from pc to phone and vice versa via your Computer Windows Explorer.
It will not enable you to use the LG PC suite Application. To use the LG PC suite, you must select Data Service, then connect your phone to the PC via a USB port.

Sony Ericsson media manager software

What OS are you running? Does your system use USB 1.1 or USB 2.0? Try powering off your w910, wait a few seconds to make sure it completely cycles off, then connect your phone to your PC. It should turn on in USB (ie. 'Mass Storage') mode. If Windows attempts to Autoplay the device, Cancel the dialog. If Windows attempts to install any drivers for the device (or Vista prompts you to scan the device), Cancel the dialog(s). If you go into 'My Computer', is your phone recognized here (as a USB Mass Storage Device)? If not, the app is not going to recognize it either. Try disconnecting any other USB devices or memory card readers.
