My lexmark X4650 printer keeps giving me blurred copies. How do I fix?

It could be that your cartridges are not aligned. Please follow the steps below to fix your problem:

1. From the printer operator panel, press the Setup button.
2. Go to Maintenance.
3. Select Align Cartridges. Your printer will then print a page to align your cartridges.
4. After the test page is printed, try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.

Check Page Preview before printing your file and see if the application you are using recognizes the entire page and does not cut-off the edges.
You can try to print Fit to Page or Borderless and see if that helps.

Some of the ink-jets that shoot the ink onto the paper are clogged.

Use the Lexmark software for the printer to run a few "print-head-cleaning" cycles, to try to unclog it.

This can either be blocked nozzles on the cartridge, or an alignment problem. Go to Start - All Programs - Lexmark - Solution Center and print out a Clean Nozzle Page and an Alignment Page from the maintenance tab. That should fix the issue. 

these printers will give this error if the main motor drive fails to initiate. its probably cheaper to buy a new printer

give print...select printer ....goto properties of the printer in the same dielog box.....then ....more page layout options .....there you can change the page scaling
