My machine had been giving E20 error code - cleaned out filter and pressed start button and it started again ok. During wash it jammed and all lights went on (except spin speeds) and it wouldn't do anything. There is a humming noise. No error code displayed now. Drained machine of water using small pipe and emptied it. Unplugged it for a while but when it was plugged back in the lights all came on again and there is still a humming noise. It will not do anything and the lights will not go out. Please help if possible.

Check where the appliance drain hose connects to the house drains for a blockage.

If it's onto a spigot under the sink, take them off and check both for a blockage.

If these are ok then it's likely to be a blockage in the pump.



You'll need to drain the water out manually.

Put a shallow dish below the filter and slacken the filter.

Tighten it to stop the flow of water while you empty the dish.

Once empty, take the filter out, clean out the debris and ensure nothing is left jamming the pump.

Before refitting the filter, put the machine on drain or spin and listen at the filter housing to see if you can hear the pump running.

If you do, fit the filter and try the machine again.

turn the dial to off. Press and hold the start pause and the nearest option button. While you're holding them down, turn the dial one notch clockwise.
The machine will beep or flash, let go of the buttons. Release the buttons, then turn the dial slowly, stopping at each click until you get to "off". Now, turn to any setting, then turn to off.

Now, try the machine. If it works, I'm very happy. If not, perhaps someone else can help.

E20 is a general error code to get to the real problem try this..
Reading Error Codes 1. Wake the washer by pressing any button. 2. Wait 5 seconds. 3. Press and hold the START/PAUSE and CANCEL buttons simultaneously. As long as the buttons are held, the failure code will appear in the display as an “E” followed by two numbers, a number and a letter or two letters. The control will beep and the Door Lock, Wash, Rinse, and Final Spin indicator lights will flash. let me know what code come up... hope it helps

Plug off the mains. First drain out all your water by lowering the exit hose into a bucket or drain. You have to look for screws below the front kick-panel, the panel comes down & out. The pump is on the right side. Be prepared for dirty water. Inside the big flexible tube (coming from the tub bottom) is the filter, be prepared to find all sorts of junk here, clean out. Examine your pump also, clean out the impeller. Carefully refit all. Your machine would be fine. Don’t wait for the machine to jam to look into your filter.

E20 = Problems with water drain in wash phase ALARM CODES E20 Is the drain filter clean; Problems during draining phase (Machine tries to drain for 10 min without emptying the tub) Checks to do: E20 Is the drain pump working? Is the value of the pump about 200Ω? (Measure directly the connector by the board, between J2-2 and J2-7) ; If No Change the pump and run again Clean the filter; Is the draining system OK (drain hose and plumbing where machine is connected) Free and check the draining system; Is the pump blocked? Is there any burn mark on the control board; if yes Change the board E90 = Communication error between user interface and main board. Verify the connector between the main board and user interface board by plugging and unplugging the connector few times on both sides, OR replace the blue ribbon cable. Hi, I also got the error code E20 when the filter became totally blocked during the washing cycle (due to a pair of my son's old work jeans!). Once I cleaned out the filter everything worked ok again. Put a large bowl under the filter as you unscrew it; a fair amount of water could be there. Regards, John
