Water fills and cycles fine. Arms do not spin; no cleaning. Circulation motor?

I would say that you still have blockage in the supply line or a fitter coulnd be blocked or in the spray arms . I did google this and that was I came up with ..

If there is no sound of the circulation motor then it is faulty. But if the circulation pump sound is coming but water is not circulating then you need to check the wash arms for blockage.

Circulation pump might be faulty. or spray arms are blocked. remove spray arms and clean them and try it again.

It is likely the water circulation system is faulty. This dishwasher uses a single motor to run the water pump and the drain pump. If you hear the wash pump operate during wash cycle then it is likely there is a blockage in the water circulation manifold which distributes the water through the arms.

If you do not hear the pump operate during wash cycle then the sensor is faulty. The sensor tells dishwasher to switch to drain cycle from wash cycle.

Based on your description and provided the dishwasher is indeed 1) an Asko D1716 and 2) filling with water, draining, heating, but not dissolving the detergent, it often is a busted wash impeller within the main motor/circulation pump.

Unfortunately the impeller itself is not serviceable, the entire motor/pump must be replaced if indeed it is broke.

Here's something you can try first though, this will indicate if the unit is circulating the water properly. Try placing both spray arms at 12 o'clock position and placing a cup upright in the top rack. If the arms move and the cup fills, you've got circulation...if neither, you don't.

Also be sure the unit is actually filling with water, this image below indicates the normal water level to look for....





Let me know what you find and I'll try and help you move forward from there. If you need direction to remove the circulation motor and pump I can do that, but it is a pretty involved repair and requires pulling the unit from the cabinet. Check those other possibilities first and tell me what you find.

Motor pump has gone out. pump needs replacing. the unit needs to be pulled out inorder to access the pump. the sides of the d/w must come off.

1.does motor run? no. replace motor. 2.open door and leave the bottom rack inside dw.spin the spray arm underneath the bottom rack by hand. it should spin freely without binding. if it doesnt spin freely take out the bottom rack and try again. if it does spin freely then your bottom rack is laying on your sprayarm preventing it from rotating. 3.you could also not be getting enough water into your dw.
