I have a Magnavox DVD Player/Recorder (model MWR 10D6). I recorded a bunch of movies onto DVDs but they will not play on this same DVD player, yet they will on my mother's DVD player which is a different brand. How can I get them to play on my DVD player?

Check to see if the dvd format or brad they were recorded on is compatible for playback on your console. Check the manufacturers website for details.

I have Magnavox DVD player/vcr DV225MG9, does it record from vhs onto dvds? And if not, what do I need to get so that I can copy all of these old vhs movies to dvds?

it won't record dvd's its only a dvd player. only the vcr records
if the vhs movies your trying to record are movies like star wars and stuff like that it's copy protected and no worth the trouble. if it's home movies or something you recorded from tv they might work. if you get a dvd recorder/vhs player.

Trying to connect Magnavox MWR 10D6 DVD/Recorder to Sanyo HDTV. TV is connected to Dish network through coax. cable.

Unfortunately, the Magnavox MWR10D6 recorder can not record HD signals. It's only video inputs are coax (RF) and composite video; both are limited to 480i (SD). NTSC (analog signals) are translated to video.

Your best recording option is to connect the composite video output of the Dish receiver to the video input (yellow for video, red and white for audio) of the recorder. Then set the receiver to the channel that you want to record and set the recorder to Line In.

HD recorders may exist. They are much more expensive than the SD versions.

I wish that I had better news for you. The manual for the MWR10D6 is available from Funai here: http://www.funai-corp.com/support/om/MWR10D6.pdf .

Can i record from one dvd to another magnavox player recorder MWR 10D6 i wish to record from a DVD player to recorder i can record from the TV Email [email protected]

Sure you can... connect a cable from the Output jacks of your DVD player and attach it to the Input jacks of your Magnavox the same way you connected the TV. You'll need to use your remote on the Magnavox to change the Input it records from so it conforms with where you plugged the cable into.

How do I record my vhs onto the dvd?

How about a USER MANUAL instead :D

Please note this unit is NOT a DVD recorder. It only has a DVD ROM drive to play DVDs - not to record to them.

Recorded dvds wont play in other dvd players

You have to finalize the disc. if the disc goes to the end it will finalize the disc automatically. If there is some part of the disc not used you have to do it yourself. IN DVD MODE PRESS SETUP, THEN DISC EDIT, THEN FINALIZE. FINALLY PRESS YES. That should do it.

WHEN I RECORD A DVD IN MY MWR 10D6 DVD RECORDER IT IS NOT ABLE TO BE PLAYED IN MY OTHER DVD PLAYER WHICH IS A TOSHIBA. WHEN YOU PUT THE DVD IN IT ALWAYS SAYS PLEASE CHECK DISK. THIS ONLY HAPPENS WITH DVD'S...

When you burn your DVD the disc has to go thru a FINALIISATION process before it can be used on other DVD players. Sounds like either your recorder hasn't run the finalisation or it doesnt do one, in which case your DVD's wont work on another player. Check thru your menu's for a FINALISATION option and make sure you run it.
