On the 30Xa, press the DRG key to cycle through the different angular modes. Be aware that no matter what mode you set, the display will show an indicator of the current mode. You can't remove the indicator completely.
The TI-30Xa will only handle fractions with denominators less than or equal to 999. .003 is 3/1000 in simplest terms, with a denominator larger than 999. Thus the calculator cannot display it as a fraction.
The TI-30Xa does not have a statistics mode. That statistics operations are available at all times, just like addition and subtraction. Just enter the data with Sigma-plus and then calculate the desired statistics---mean, standard deviation, and so forth.
Full details are in the "One-Variable Statistics" section of the guidebook (page 9 in my copy). If you need the guidebook, you can download one from http://education.ti.com/calculators/downloads/US/Guidebooks/Detail?id=6132
Press the DRG key. Each press cycles the angle mode from degrees to radians to grads and back to degrees. The annunciator on the display will tell you what the current mode is.
Hello,
It cannot be a coordinate symbol (x is any variable ) because the calculator is not a graphical one. Press the [A/C] Clear All button and it will erase all junk in memory and display.
Hope it helps.
Calculator turns on in "degree" mode. Just enter angle in degrees then press "SIN", "COS" "TAN".
Most people work in degrees but you can switch to Rads or Grads to Degrees modes by pressing "DRG" repeatedly with zero displayed, Current angular mode will show in display.
