I found somewhere that the no/slow key response could be due to a short in the I/O socket. I blew into it really hard, and it worked perfectly after that. I hope this helps.

Water from a water bottle spilled all over my TI-84 Calculator. I dried it the best I could and replaced the batteries after drying them but none of the buttons work and it won't turn or. And way I can...

TI calculators have an annoying habit of dimming the screen when the batteries are changed so that it appears as if the calculator isn't turning on. Turn the calculator on (or at least press the ON key). Press and release the 2ND key. Press and hold the Up-arrow key for a few seconds and see whether the screen becomes legible.

I also hope you let the calculator dry out thoroughly before replacing the batteries.

Reset the calculator by taking out all of the batteries, then hold down the power button for 30 seconds. Replace the batteries and see if it works again. If not, remove all of the batteries again, this time include the backup battery (you'll need a small phillips screwdriver). Wait 5 minutes and reinstall the batteries. Hope it works for you. g.

How do I fix my TI-84 Plus Silver Edition if none of the buttons will work?

Will the calculator turn on at all? If not, check the batteries first. There is a little coin battery that stores memory for the device behind where the regular batteries sit. This does not often fail, but could cause the thing to not power up. Note: removing the coin battery will clear any information stored on your calculator.

If the device is stuck in an infinite loop, or is unresponsive with the busy icon, try pressing and holding the "2nd", left, right and "on" buttons in that order and holding them all at the same time. This is the command to cancel whatever process the device is working and clear the internal memory (At least on the TI-89. I'm not 100% sure the command works on an 84).

The buttons on my casio fx-9750g plus arent working

A simple procedure THAT MAY REVIVE the calculator is to reset the calculator by pressing the RESET button on the back. Use a straightened paper clip to press the recessed button.

My TI-84 Plus calculator won't work. It won't switch off by itself. When the batteries are reinserted, it says that all RAM has been cleared. When i press the 'ON' button again, the screen clears. but...

The Ram cleared message is normal after you change batteries. When you see this message you press the CLEAR button to erase it. You do not press the ON button again because the calculator is already ON. If you want to turn calculator OFF you press [2nd][ON] (OFF).

On certain calculators, pressing the ON button when calculator is already ON is interpreted as INTERRUPT the current command.

None of my buttons work except the ON button

Sounds like a possible short to me, But I don't have experience with that cause I have yet to test my calc with water if you know what I mean... The one thing that I can suggest is trying to connect with another persons calc and try the "send OS" command to see if that will reset your calc to a working state. Sorry to hear about the damage though.
