I have the LGD45EL and the humidy % screen displays 01 (no "CH") and the bucket full light blinks. If I unplug it, it will start for a second or two and stop, again displaying the 01 and the blinking bucket full light.

I don't believe it is the bucket full switch. When the switch is "closed" position or empty it has 0 ohms, when the switch is in the "open" position or full it has a resistance of 9650 ohms. It appears that the switch is operating correctly. I have found that if the bucket was full, the light is on steadily, not flashing like it is doing now. Any idea's?

I had same problem but fortunatly had two units (one working other not) tried swapping capacitor / thermal switch with no luck, removed plug into circuit board for humidity sensor and bucket switch.now both units work, this tells me it was simply a bad connection of the board. hope this helps someone.

LG LHD45EL

The temperature sensor on teh suction return line from the coil has drifted out of spec and needs to be replaced. This sensor is part of the sensor assembly which plugs into the control board. I purchased the part from Appliance Factory Parts on line, cost about $30, an hour or 2 to change depending on your mechanical level, it is easy to do. For Goldstar DH404E part # was 6877A30013M, they are same part for many models but if this is not the right # for your model just get the right "sensor assembly" for your model and change it out. It consists of Temp/humidy sensor in coil, temp sensor in suction return line, and plug harness that goes to float switch. My uni is running like new again.
