I have the same monitor. Before it went off for "ever", it used to go blind for some days until I pressed the on button again. Seem to be dead now, so I opened it and realised that the power supply went on for a very short period every 1 s. Need new power supply board. Model: (T) 1942 AUA4 or 71-L1142-3-AUE. Any hints?

Hi,

I have the service guide for this monitor and the values for the R811 to R814 are the same: 1.8 . The mosfet is a 2SK2645. I will like to send the pdf file, but I new in this site and I don´t know how to attach a file due the only options that I see is a link, image or you tube clip.

Good luck

Acer AL1711 17" LCD Monitor showing white screen

Hello,

A white screen indicates the power supply board is not putting out the correct voltages to properly power the monitor, just the back light. This type of issue is caused by a failure of the filter capacitors on the power board. You can rebuild your power supply board and bring the monitor back to life by just replacing the the bad capacitors. The problem is that model the Acer AL1711 could come with 1 of 4 different power supply boards install depending and the date manufacturer and supply on hand. If you want to repair the monitor if you could open the unit and get either the model number of the power supply board or send a picture of the board to me I will be glad to help you repair the unit and get it back up and running. You can contact me to send the information at [email protected]

Hi, i have an acer lCD monitor model x223w, the screen light flickers for a few seconds then the moniter shuts down. what can i do to fix it?

if no any power led indicator at the front panel after of shut down, the cause could be power supply failure. you will need to remove the back cover to gain access of the internal part of the monitor. look for a blown fuse or burnt parts at the power supply board. if you have an idea about electronic parts just replaced defective parts with the same rating and value. hope this can help good luck just let me know if you need further assistance.

I have an Acer AL 1914 Monitor. Green light

Check power supply section for bad caps first.
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, blown fuses, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed ACER monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

ACER AL1715 POWER SUPPY BOARD AR577 VP-583 TURNS OFF AFTER START UP

I have an Acer 1715 that also turns on, then goes dark after a few seconds. The capacitors on the AR577 supply/inverter board were good, but I replaced them anyway. There is a good write-up with photos at:

http://www.electronicrepairguide.com/acer-al712-lcd-monitor-repair.html

This shows the board nicely and capacitors for the 1712 Acer, which is very close to the 1715.

This didn't cure my problem, and after chasing signals, I believe the problem is a bad inverter chip. The SG6841SZ on the back side of the board is a 20 pin gull wing surface mount package that drives the FETs to switch voltage off and on to the high voltage transformer. I know the diodes and FETs work because it comes on. The transformer drive stops when the backlights go out, though the voltages are all there. The 5V drive signal from the control board is there, so the problem has to be the inverter, or all 4 FETs.

If I can get hold of the part and it fixes it, I'll post it here.
