Hello there, the second hand on all watches dont reset with function buttons. Just the same way you cannot set the second hand when trying to adjust the time on your wristwatch. If you notice when you try to set the time on any watch the second hand does not move with the other hands as they are always made to function with the engine and reset does not affect them. If you want the second hand on the 12 o clock position allow it rotate to that position and pull out the crown. Then you can reset the minute and hour hands.
Hope this solution has been helpful?

I just recieved my Movado 800 series watch today and the large chronograph timer hand won't reset to zero (top of dial @ 12 o'clock) when I press the zero button. It resets to 56 minute position....

you do not need to return, as this is re-settable. Pull out crown to the first position (date setting) and then toggle with upper push button. If upper button do not do the job, try the bottom one. When you reach 12, then push the crown back in. Start the chrono, stop it and check if it returns to 12.

Need an expert on the new minute repeater by campanola, sold one at the retail jewelry store i work at, gentleman wants step-by-step hands on instruction as to the minute repeater function as well as the...

in order to set the repeater chime you need to set the watch and the sub watch to the same time.

This watch has comes with crown in position 0 , if you pull it out one level it becomes position 1 and if you pull it out one more time it is position 2 .

There are 3 buttons on the watch also. The button directly above the crown is button A the button below the crown is button B and the button directly across the crown is button C.

To set time you must first pull out crown to position 2 when the small second hand is at 12 o'clock position and it is stopped.

The mode will also at this time go to 0 and the sub watch second hand( the long second hand with the sun on it ) will also go to 0.

At this time you can just move the crown to set the proper time to the main watch . Now if you press the B button to set the sub watch . Each time you press the B button it will advance one minute hold down the B button and will advance time faster.

Do this to set the sub watch time make sure you watch the am and pm to make sure you are getting the proper time of day.

if the sub watch second hand ( the long second hand) is not aligned to 12 oclock then press the A button keep pressing button or hold it down to go faster until it is aligned at the 12 oclock position

Now push crown in back to 0 position for your time for your watch and sub watch should be set.

Set leap year.
Pull crown to position 1
Press the B button to adjust leap year.
the leap year is set by how many years from the previous leap year it has been . So 2008 was the previous leap year so we will h ave to set leap year at year 2 . The hands of the leap year are connected to the month so you must hold down a and b button or just press the b button to get to year 2 .

once you do that your leap year should be set.

to set the Repeater ( this is a beep from the watch to tell you the time with sound) make sure crown is in 0 position and hold a button for a couple of seconds to activate Reapter.

you can press any other button to end the chime .

also to get to leap year view while crown is in 0 position hold down the b button for 2 seconds . Pushes any button to return to normal calendar.

I need the manual of breil milano shosholoza.the model is bw0480

The crown has 3 positions.

Normal screwed down.
First pull out position.
Second pull out position.

Setting the Time:
Pull out the crown to position 3.
Rotate the crown to set the exact time.
Ensure that you are in the daytime12 hour segment by allowing the hands to pass 12 o'clock and notice if the date moved on or not.
If the date changed, then you will need to advance at least 2 hours before moving on to set the date.
If you do not need to change the date, return the crown to position 1.

Setting the Date:
DO NOT DO THIS IF THE WATCH IS BETWEEN 8pm & 2am
Pull crown to position 2.
Rotate the crown clockwise to set to the correct date.
Return the crown to position 1.

Setting the Alarm [12 hour]
Pull the crown to position 2.
Rotate the crown anti clockwise to move the alarm hand to the desired time.
Return the crown to position 1.
To activate the alarm, press the 8 o'clock button. You will hear 2 beeps.
To deactivate the alarm, press the 8 o'clock button. You will hear 1 beep.
NB If the alarm is not cancelled while it sounds the first time, it will repeat again in 2 minutes time. The alarm sound last for 15 seconds. If the alarm time coincides with 1 beep of the countdown, the alarm function will be cancelled.

Battery EOL [End Of Life]
The Swiss ISA 8270 movement uses a 395 cell and will signify a low power state by advancing the small seconds hand 4 steps every 4 seconds.

Setting the Countdown
You can specify a countdown of between 1 and 10 minutes.
Press the 4 o'clock button to enter setting mode. You will hear 1 beep.
Press the 4 o'clock button to move the central timing hand successively to the desired countdown time.
Wait 3 seconds for the watch to automatically exit the setting mode.
You can change the duration of the countdown [except in the last minute] at any time.
e.g. If the countdown is set to 10minutes, and you now want to change the countdown to 9 minutes, press the 4 o'clock button. The hours/seconds counter sub-dial will perform one complete turn and then stop at 60, before continuing.

Activating the Countdown:
Press the 2 o'clock button to start the countdown. You will hear 2 beeps.
The hours/seconds counter sub-dial will perform one complete turn and then stop at 60, before continuing.
When the countdown begins, the hour/seconds counter sub-dial indicates the seconds with 1 step every 2 seconds, and the central timing hand indicates the minutes with 1 step being 2.4 seconds.

Countdown tone:
There are 2 beeps every minute.
in the last minute:
50 seconds=1 beep.
40 seconds=1 beep.
30 seconds=2 beeps.
20 seconds=2 beeps.
10 seconds and less=1 beep every second with zero being 1 second long beep. Timer function automatically starts.

Timer:
After countdown has finished the timer starts automatically.
The central timing hand indicates the minutes with 1 step every 12 seconds. The hour/minutes counter sub-dial indicates the hours up to a maximum of 96.
Press the 4 o'clock button to see the timer seconds [display lasts up to a minute].
Press the 4 o'clock button to see the timer hours.
The timer has a maximum time of 96 hours [4 days] after which the hour/seconds sub-dial counter will stay at 0 and the central timing hand will stay at 12.

Start/Stop Timer:
Press the 2 o'clock button to stop the timer. You will hear 1 beep.
Press the 2 o'clock button to resume the timer. You will hear 2 beeps.

Setting the Countdown & Timer:
Countdown reset:
Press the 2 o'clock button to stop the countdown. You will hear 1 beep.
Press the 4 o'clock button to reset.

Setting the Timer:
Press the 2 o'clock button to stop the timer. The hour/seconds counter sub-dial will show the elapsed hours and the central timing hand the elapsed minutes.
Press the 4 o'clock button to view the seconds elapsed on the hour/seconds counter sub-dial.
Press the 4 o'clock button to reset.

Resetting the Hands:
If the hands do not zero correctly, which might occur after a battery change or a violent shock, you can make adjustments by doing the following settings as long as the countdown is not in operation.
To correct the hour/seconds counter sub-dial, pull the crown out to position 2 and wait 1 second.
Press either the 2 or 4 o'clock button; the central timing hand will turn and stop [not necessarily at 12].
Press the 2 o'clock button to increment the hours/seconds counter sub-dial hand to position it at 60.
To correct the central timing hand, press the 4 o'clock button to increment the hand to the 12 position.
Return the crown to position 1.

If the battery had been replaced, the central timing hand defaults to the 10 minute position. If the battery had not been replaced, the central timing hand will return to the previously set position.

Easier than you think.

Techno Marine MO4 Watch, Seconds hand doesn't reset to top cente

You do not need to return the watch. It has self adjusting features (operated by the owner). Pull out crown to the first click, then push and hold the pushbutton at 2 o'clock to adjust the hand. When done - push crown back in.
If it doesn't work, pull out crown to the second click and do as described above.

Re-set quartz chronograph sweeping second hand

Easy Soultion worked for me. Believe Me I was worried only had the Seiko Sportura for a week now. My second dial for the stopwatch was re-setting to 5 seconds instead of zero. The Solution is
1. pull the Crown all the way out ( In the position you take the crown to set the time , second click ).
2. To set the minute face of stop watch , keep pressing the top button untill it is zero. To set the second needle to zero keep pressing the bottom button untill it reaches zero or where you like it to re-set each time. Depend on you.
3. Once all neddles of stopwatch are at resting postions ( usually zero) secure the crown back to its normal postion. Test your stop watch , hopefully it will go back to zero when you press the reset button. C

I have a seiko flight watch, unknown of the model, second hand doesn't reset

I guess the blue faced SEIKO is a Flightmaster (Model: 7T92- OCFO)and it is a great watch. This is a common problem with most chronographs and this happens due to misalignment with usage.

All you need to do is pull out the locking crown all the way out (2nd Step) as if setting time. and then press and hold the top / left button and at first the milli seconds hand resets. after which you have to press the borrom / right button to move the seconds hand in to place. and then reset the time and lock the crown. You can repeat this for Milli Seconds, Seconds, Minutes & hours hands.
Hope this helps,
Krishna Chaitanya GT.
