How to turn printer from offline to online

Often times the printer will show being offline if the computer wasn't turned on before the printer. Also, if you have more than one printer be sure the printer you are trying to use is selected in the printer setup page.

Cant print. im offline

Sounds like you can no longer connect to the printer. Is the printer a wireless connection? Check if it is and if so, verify that the IP address you used to originally connect to the printer is still valid.

If you have admin rights to your desktop PC, the easiest fix is to create a new printer device. Use the add device option, select printer (remember to let the operating system know the printer is a wireless printer on the network) and let the operating system locate the printer. It should find the printer and when you select it, it will label the printer the name of the printer with the number one (1) beside it. Then proceed with printing.

The more difficult way still requires having admin rights to the computer. Just select the printer, right-mouse click over the device and select "Printer Properties" and select "port". Then select configure port. To re-configure port you need to know which IP address the printer currently uses. The IP setting should be found in the "Settings" menu on the printer. Once you have the current IP Address, enter that into the field on the Configure Port menu and save the changes. That should allow you to print again. Most likely you will have a backlog of unprinted documents so remember to kill off any documents you no longer need to print.
