Fatal Error 0300H

My printer was working fine, and suddenly no longer works and states FATAL ERROR CODE: 0300H. Can you advise what this means and what I can do about it. I have turned off and on, checked for paper jams, checked cartridges in okay. At first the printer made a noise when I turned it back on, now nothing happens at all.

Thank you.

When I turn on the printer, it starts to make a high pitch whining noise then stops and has an error code 0300H.

Try this: Remove both ink cartridges. Unplug the printer for a few minutes. Plug it back in and re-install the cartridges.

SOURCE: Printer states System Error Clear paper jam but no paper is there

If you did have a jam and did not get ALL the jammed sheet out, there is still a small piece of paper in there somewhere, probably covering a sensor or micro switch. Get a torch and look carefully. If youu don't find anything you may need to disassemble the printer to find it.

SOURCE: says a front paper jam but no paper jammed any where

Your paper feder belt has ink on it and will not feed the paper. Remove the rubber belt and clean it good and clean and use compressed air on the printer tray area. If this does not work open the front feeder tray and set your computer to print from it. After about 500 copys it will normally have c leaned itself and be ready to feed from the main roller.

Error 030 fatal error

ecblank.gif What does "Fatal Error" mean? ecblank.gif ecblank.gif ecblank.gif ecblank.gif
ecblank.gif ecblank.gif Summary: Printer has displayed a "Fatal Error" message. This simply means a problem has occurred requiring you to take action. It does NOT mean that your printer has "died". ecblank.gif ecblank.gif ecblank.gif ecblank.gif
ecblank.gif ecblank.gif Your printer display or status monitor may read "Fatal Error". This simply means a problem has occurred requiring action to clear.
A "Fatal Error" does not mean your printer will "die". Fatal Error explanations are not usually found in the User's Guide or Handy Reference Guide.

RECOMMENDED NEXT STEP: First, try turning off your printer then turning it back on. If this does not clear the message or remedy the problem, check to see if your printer is on a power strip (or not plugged directly into the wall). For testing purposes, be sure the printer is plugged directly into the wall. Often, the issue is power-related.

Second, if the issue persists after this, write down the message (including the 3-digit error code number) and email us at "[email protected]" or call Oki Data Customer Support (1-800-654-3282) for assistance.

NOTE: If you see a series of letters and numbers(scrolling across the display) after the 3-digit error code, be sure to write these down also and report them when call or emailing Customer Support.

Can't download iTunes, IE 8, HP Printer...Fatal Error MSI Scan is the usual statement, although I've gotten numbered failures too. But Fatal Error is the main one.

Hey

The SCAN.MSI that comes up about your HP printer, that is located on the CD in a special folder.

It would be best for you to completely uninstall all HP programs from the computer related to the printer.
http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html
unplug the printer first
use the free(ware) version. Download the program, start it, go to the uninstall programs part, find the HP related items and uninstall, Use medium setting and delete all files and items it finds, just click on select all and then delete.

When that is done restart the computer, then use the CD or I'll direct you to the full feature download to reinstall it.

I've delt with this scan.msi issue quite a few times here and I know how to solve it. If this doesn't work for whatever reason you would have to go to the cd (right click, open) and find the scan.msi file, when the error comes up asking for the scan file, direct it there (Exactly to the file in the cd, it may be hidden inside a few folders) and it should solve that one.

Sometimes these machines will overheat or have fatal errors or general errors. Unplug the printer from the power source for no less than 10 minutes, The plug the power cable back into the printer and turn it back on. This should solve this issue.

Printer fails to print - error code -50

From System Preferences / Printers, delete the printer completely.
If you have the driver installer for the driver you are using, re-launch it and choose the "uninstall" option. If not, you will have to rip out a lot of code by hand -- you will have to search HP's website for the page on how to manually remove traces of old Mac HP drivers.
Download the latest driver for your printer from the HP website. Install if carefully.
After rebooting, go to System Preferences / Printers and re-define the printer. Make sure you use the HP driver, not any of the generic drivers.
This ought to clear the problem.
