Tip & How-To about Washing Machines

Whirlpool/kenmore/estate/kitchen aid/roper waher washing but wont drain or spin?

Hello,

A leading problem that will make the washer not drain is a defective lid switch. To check if that is the problem, open the lid and close it slowly, when it is almost closed you should hear a clicking sound,do this a couple times and if you do not hear the click the lid switch is what i would suspect as the problem.
To me a technician with 30 years experience i think the switch is very easy to replace,i believe with some mechinacal ability you too could replace the switch assambly.
If it turns out to be the switch i have attached a youtube video that will show you step by step how to replace it http://youtu.be/MFsvLiuTniU

Good luck,i hope this will help you to fix your washer,

washer fills ok; the wash cycle completes ok, but then it stops; no spin, no rinse cycle. This happens on all wash settings.
