Tip & How-To about Cell Phones
I can think of some actions for you to play with (in case you haven't already taken them, that is):
1 - On your phone, go to 'Start > Settings > Connections tab > USB to PC' and toggle the 'Enable advanced network fucntionality' checkbox, i.e. if it is checked, uncheck it; otherwise, check it. Try to connect your phone to your computer. Then, restore that setting to its original value and try again.
2 - If you keep facing problems, backup your personal data first. You could just execute 'File Explorer' (or any other files browser) and copy file 'pim.vol', located on the root of your phone, to your SD card (or any other location), to be copied back to the root of your device later, if needed. Then, delete the sync partnership, both on your phone and your computer. and try to set it up all over again. If you find that your personal data have been lost along the way, copy that saved copy of file 'pin.vol' back to the root of your device, and try to sync your phone to your computer again.
3 - If your phone still refuses to sync with your computer, try to uninstall and reinstall ActiveSync (if your computer has Windows XP) or Windows Mobile Device Center (it it has Vista or 7, instead) on your computer. Reboot your computer, connect your phone and set the sync partnership again.
- Really hope you are able to sort your problems out. Anyway, please, report back your problems and findings.
