REMMINGTON FRS 2-WAY RADIO

Two years ago asked on this site if anyone had a correct charger for my just found in my closet this radio unit.
Just found the charger, owner's manual, etc.
I think the battery packs in both units are bad as there'
s white residue on bottoms. I charged for 10 hours and no luck.Do any of you think they are worth finding replacement rechargeable batteries for these hand held Radios. Or it looks like I can fit in 4 AAA batteries to each unit to use. Batteries are not cheep. Could be hand helds are shot/outdated and just need to to be tossed to our county disposal system. What say YOU!

My Behringer PMX (or PMH?) 3000 powered mixer won't power on

Hi Robert,
The problem with ceramic fuses is that you can't tell if it's blown unless you put a meter on both ends to check for continuity. You probably have a friend that has a multi-meter sitting in a drawer somewhere, or a trip to the local Radio Shack will tell you right away - as well as likely finding the correct value fuse. Replacing it with a ceramic is not as critical as matching the AMPERAGE of the fuse (the Behringer site might be helpful: http://www.behringer.com/EN/Support/Find-Answers-or-Ask-Behringer.aspx
And no, the fuse didn't die on it's own, but are most prone to failure at turn on - so this time when you plugged it in after 3 years - it was time to go.

Laptop won't come on even when plugged to wall outlet

you will likely need to remove the battery pack to run the unit. If this works, you will need a new battery to use the laptop portable.

Motorola XTNi two way radio red light on all the time

The XTNi is a European version of the Radius CP110 and the Spirit RDX series. This unit is user-programmable. It is possible the radios you have with the same symptoms have a programming issue.

There are 3 ways to program the radio: 1) using the CPS software and cable, 2) using the 6-unit charger as a cloning station, or 3) using 2 single unit chargers linked together via a cloning cable. It is also possible to change limited programming features by hand.

We suggest you take one of your XTNi radios which is functioning correctly and clone the codeplug (copy the programming) into the non-functioning radios to see if it clears the problem. If not, the unit should still be under warranty. Take it back to the place where you purchased it and see if you can get it repaired under warranty. (This unit has only been available for about one year, so yours should still be under warranty.)

One other issue might be effecting the radios, which would be rare to happen on more than one radio at the same time. This would be "lock in transmit". You could tell if this were the case, because the radio's display would not change when you press any of the buttons. This problem would also require repair.
