Tip & How-To about Seiko Kinetic watch

How to charge a Seiko Kinetic with an electric toothbrush charger

This is the Sonicare "Advance" model charger.
Other chargers will work, but many do not open with screws, they instead are welded or glued shut and must be shattered to get open.
I use the Advance charger for my toothbrush and to charge my watches.
This model has 2 very simple screws.
And the inside is arranged such that a watch fits logically over the flux.
Photo 2 shows the bottom of the charger.
Photo 3 shows the same charger with the screws removed and the bottom plate removed.
In every model of charger there should be a rectangular section and a circular section.
The circular section holds the electromagnetic flux generator. That is what will generate the power to charge your watch.
In most Seiko Kinetics the Generating Coils lays beneath the 8 o'clock marker on the watch.
You would like to have that 8 o'clock marker pointed toward the 9 o'clock spot on the Circle.
(See Photo 5)
On other chargers and with other watches simply rotate the watch around stopping ever 10 degrees or so for 10-15 seconds, until the watch starts to tick in 2 or 1 second intervals.
It may take several days to charge your Kinetic if it was fully discharged.
I hope this is helpful

I lost my charger and I can't find a Callaway GPSync WATCH charger where can I buy one>

There is some question whether the watch itself is yet available much less the charger. TGW says it is no longer available but Walmart declares it is selling it. Callaway licenses their name to it but is not the manufacturer. I don't know if chargers for the rangefinders are compatible with the watch. You might ask Callaway support. If so, Newegg sells (Amazon has a variation) such: https://www.newegg.com/callaway-upro-mx-upro-mx-golf-electronics-accessories/p/2TK-000F-00001

Removed MT516 battery from Citizen 780163 Eco-Drive watch to change battery for wife.. then found out is rechargeable, but didn't realize it has leads welded on & now unsure how to align / position it back inside..

you should use a multi meter, to check where the plus and minus is. to check where the leads go to, put the charger on and check where the plus and minis is coming from.
Never open a watch, if you don't know in advance what you can find. It is to delicate inside, and most of the time you lose the water tights seal.

My Abacus Fossil AU4005 110504 wont charge any more, wen i put it on the charger nothing happen,it does not light up any more,do i need a new battery and where do i get it?

I had the same problem but easy fix.
first make sure you put the watch on charger for a few hours first-- the problem is not the battery not taking charge it is the watch that is not turning on probably.
After a few hours on the charger, remove the four screws on the back cover-- WARNING- remove cover carefully. there are two thin copper wires attached to the cover to the charing coil. set the cover aside. remove battery back (unplug tiny connector). WAIT a10 minutes-- this is to discharge any remaining charge that may be held by capacitor in the watch. plug the battery back in. Voila! working now. This is my way of resetting the watch to factory setting. Isn't it almost always work when you remove power to electronic device to reset it?

The word "LOW" always appearing

The word LOW means that the solar battery charger is not charging. This could be a defective charger or you're not out in the sun long enough to keep it charged.
