If it has a pendulum, you need to either lower the weight or adjust the ticker.

Did you try to find a replacement flapper by specifying the toilet model, or did you show them what you have? If this is not a power assisted flush toilet, there aren't that much difference between flappers. Worst case you could replace the whole flush valve assembly with a generic type.

At the top of the float arm there is an adjustment screw to set the water level.

Is it spring wound or weighted with pine cones? I have a feeling the movers wound it up for you and over wound it. you can release the tension on the spring by carefully letting the key unwind while you hang on to the catch, I just got a clock from somebody, it was way over wound, took about 10 full turns out of it and got it running, it has been going for about a week without touching the spring. I haven't got the chimes back yet.,,, Now if it is a weighted mechanism, the chain may have jumped the track. Check that out. Other than that, I can't see why it shouldn't work. Hope this helps.

You need to have your rubber flapper and/or valve replaced. OR...It's possible yours is getting hungup on something and not seating in place after flushing...check to make sure that's not the issue.

If not on the side, then please check on the back. Sounds like someone moved the hour hand! Put the hour hand back by gently turning it to the correct hour determined by the number of gongs, and always turn the minute hand only to set the time.

You will probably have to take it to a good watchmaker to have it unwound, serviced and reset. Clockwork mechanisms can be complicated, and expensive, if you don't know what your doing.

Mine keeps time but no chime. The repair shop says mine is wore out and needs the chimer section replaced. Do not try to repair yourself as it will cost you more in the long run.
