sounds like the needle and seat need to be replaced. the carburetor is flooding out and running in the oil. after you replace the needle and seat i would recommend changing the oil.

would take the spark plug out put some BBlaster or marvel mystery oil or some other very light oil in the cylinder. next day see if it loosened up

The following kit includes a pull wire which makes it soooo much easier. This may not be the right kit for your homelite. To get the right fuel line to the proper carb port, connect only the fuel line with the filter to either carb port. Put enough fuel (mix) in tank to more than cover the filter. Press primer bulb several times. If you have it connected to right port, fuel will draw up into primer bulb and expel out the other unconnected carb fuel port. Otherwise switch filtered line to other port and prime again. If still not drawing fuel, then fuel line or primer bulb is cracked or carb repair/replace.

First remove all lines from tank clean tank by spraying carb cleaner into it shake well make sure all gunk is out then blow out with compressed air. Install lines with no 5 going to fitting just below primer bulb the other line no. 3 has connector no 6 and filter no. 4 on it.

Line up.

Try starting as you would normally and check plug for gas on plug tip if none probably carburetor if fuel on plug then Remove plug attach body of plug to aluminum housing and pull watch for spark at plug gap. If none either stop switch Wire grounded or coil bad.
