you've found the right place buddy I keep buying manuals from various websites so I can damn well help u in this.. what chipper is it btw? Like few websites have some manuals better while some have other brands better

i have a chipper and it started giving lot of problems 4 yrs ago, so I got this free Pdf manual from reliable-store for free and I don't think Ive visited a mechanic or fixya for help for more than 3-4 times out of the 20 times I fixed the chipper in these 4 years

my chipper had problem with wiring issue that the battery isn't able to take up the electricity supplied to it.. u know, the conductor between them.. if possible get a manual from reliable-store to fix it urself thats I did

Some fixya user told me a website reliablestore it is very good.. I used it to repair my shredder it had some spark issue which wasn't easily fixed. you can go there and try most shredder owners know about it it's free so no harm in trying

No. The blade is like a flywheel and is connected directly on the motor shaft. However, these usually have separate choke and throttle handles. I have found that they start easiest if the throttle is set pretty low and the choke is closed. Once it starts to fire, then slowly open the choke - allowing it to pick up a bit of speed before you open the choke all of the way. Then wait a few seconds before turning up the throttle. On the other hand, if you have debris in the machine making it hard to turn, you will have to clean some of it out before you start it. Good luck, Al K

I had this same problem after letting the machine sit for a couple of years with gas in it. What finally solved it for me was taking the screw out of the bottom of the carburetor bowl and cleaning it. I mean clean it. Carburetor cleaner or some other solvent helps but you've got to get the gunk out of that screw. It probably has an obvious "feed" that runs across the bottom part of the screw shaft. The "feed" that runs from this up to the carb is the tricky part. I needed something very fine and finally settled on a combination of strands of wire from a lamp cord. Try two or three strands twisted together and work it up and down with some carburetor cleaner.

It could be the linkage, but the most likely problem is the throttle has gummed up in the idle position. Put thin oil or spray carburetor cleaner on throttle and move it back and forth to work it loose. I've seen it many times after an engine sits for awhile.

I have a operator's manual for 24a 463b129 5.5 hp. I also have an operator's manual for the engine (Tecumseh). I purchased the chipper new from Home Depot back in 2002. You need to go over this machine thoroughly, disassemble carb and give it a full cleaning. Remove gas tank and clean thoroughly. Replace plug, change oil, new air filter the works! It should be fine after a little TLC, Good Luck and have fun!

Zelmo use 10w30 weight oil and just put in enough to reach the full mark. In an air cooled engine I highly recommend you use Full Synthetic oil. It performs much better than conventional oil in an air cooled engine. Change the oil once a year.

Go to www.ordertree.com. The flailblade is p/n 719-0329, The shredder blade is p/n 942-0571, The chipper blade is p/n 981-0490.
Replace them you have to take casing off the unit to get to them.
