Canon MX850. Print blank after ink changes.

That is a common problem on all Canon printers, the purge assembly on the right where the printhead parks, has a pump inside and hoses that go to the filters and ink absorbers. When that unit goes out you need a replacement. A job best done in a shop. When the printhead is not cleaned and primed properly you get blank pages no matter how full the inks are.

MX850 - error code 5100 = can you help please.

Hi You can Try

Error Code 5100
Solution 1:
Clean the timing strip.

Solution 2:
The purge cap (the white sliding mechanism that the print head parks to when it's not in use) may be not lubricated well enough .

Lubricate the sliders with some white grease (don't get it on the small wipers or the black caps); this repair probably require to remove the right panel off of the printer to gain access to the purge mechanism.

Correcting B200 Error

1) The Support Code b200 is an error message that may arise with the text which states "Printer Error Occurred", or "Contact the Service Center". 2) You will receive this message on your printer due to an electronic problem which may arise in the ink cartridges. 3) Open the top cover of your printer. Discard all the cartridges. Get rid of the printhead by lifting the lever which is placed just near the cartridge cradle, then take the printhead from the printer. 4) Re-insert the printhead back into its correct position, and ensure to lock the lever. Insert all the cartridges into their correct position, and confirm that there is no open door. 5) Unplug your printer cord from the electricity board, and keep it unplugged for a few minutes. 6) Let the printer cool down. Plug the printer back again.

No lights on the ink cartridges, error b200.

1) Turn the printer off. Unplug it from the power source. Open the printer cover in order to expose the ink cartridges. 2) Remove the MP560 cartridges - PGI-220BK and CLI-221. Re-install the printhead, and the ink cartridges before you power up your printer. 3) Cleaning the printhead might solve the problem.

Canon MX850 printer. will not print and shows error code 6A00

Hi
Here is the codes
The 6A00 is a Canon generic code for paper path jam.

Solution 1:
Move the printhead carriage back and forth a few times.

Solution 2:
Check the purge unit: Moving the print head assembly will not clear a purge unit if its jammed with paper, paper clips, push pins, screws, cookie crisp, flower bud pods or the like.

Solution 3:
Press the ink pads down in the purge unit.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

Mx 850 canon with reoccurring error of 6010 or 6000

if it's 6A00 then theres a problem with the cleaning unit where the printhead parks. Look for any paper scraps in that area, 6000 is a paper feed error saying something may have fallen in stopping the paper transport roller.

Canon MX850 willnotprint from Large Black Ink Cartridge - PGI-5BK

Ink Carts do act finicky at times. Especially Canon carts. In many cases, the ink carts have a small fuse built into the back of the cartridge that opens up if the cart has been removed for any reason. Replacement Carts come with the fused portion reset, thus when you insert it into the printer, it works great. If the cart is FULL, it still may not be observed as full or new by the Printer itself. Best way is to use a new cart, not necessarily a Canon Brand. Use an inexpensive company like https://www.carrotink.com/canon-pgi-5-cli-8-combo-10-pack-ink.html

Wireless printing does not work

For an effective wireless connection, the printer should be connected to one of the LAN ports of a configured wireless router. This way, every pc(mostly laptops with wireless capability) can print to the printer. You will need a wireless adapter for desktop pcs to access any resource made available wirelessly ok. Good luck

Im trying to scan and the canon says:

I'm using an MG5220 and got this same message. Here's how I fixed it.On the printer control panel press the soft key to select the scan function. Then hit the soft key to select Save/Forward. Then select Foward scanned data to a PC. On the next screen make sure to select the appropriate PC. In my case I'm connected wireless but the selection was set to USB connection and that's why I was getting the error noted above. When I picked the PC that is connected wirelessly everything worked fine again.

I have a canon pixma MX850. I have connected to my network. Printing works fine. When I go to scan, the printer ask to which computer. I don't understand the question, much less the solution. Ho

Many machines allow network printing but not network scanning. I think you will find that the MX850 driver and MP Navigator software simply does not support network scanning. I suggest you query Canon directly.
