Hi Charlie,If you had the cartridge in the printer for sometime, try replacing it.OR Is this recently installed Cartridge ? Try the method for both criteria.Remove the cartridge, Clean the electrical contacts ( golden dots ) with lint free cloth, Install the cartridge and the error should disappear. The problem could be due to a communication failure between one of the
printheads (cartridges) and the All-In One (AIO) or by a short in one if
the printheads. Please follow the steps below to identify and fix
cartridge issues:
1. Make sure the printer is on.
2. Open the printer cover. The print cartridge carrier moves and stops
at the loading position, unless the All-In-One is busy. Note: If the
carrier does not automatically move to the center, turn off the printer
or unplug the printer from the power source and then carefully slide the
carrier to the center.
3. Remove both cartridges from the carrier.
4. Close the printer cover.
5. Re-brick your printer by pulling out the power supply - black box
behind the printer where the power cord is plugged in to, and re-plug
after 30 seconds.
6. When the printer turns on, reinsert one cartridge first. Close the printer cover and check for any errors.
7. If no error appears, reinsert the other cartridge. Close the printer cover.
8. Replace whichever cartridge is causing the error to appear with a new
genuine cartridge. Try to print a document again to verify that

The caller ID phone having the tip & ring detection circuit to detect the incoming phone number, but in this model doesn't have tip & ring detection circuit to display other phone number but after connecting the other fax it will read the information which was stored like company name & phone number of other one..
Remove both cartridges, switch off then on, printer detects cartridge missing, install cartridges one by one & observe which one showing faulty, replace faulty cartridge..end..
You mean align page not scanning/not completed?.if align page not printed properly due clogged nozzles, printer unable to completes align successfully, remove both cartridges clean nozzles as shown in attached link, refix & try, even not resolved replace faulty cartridge, or else when its performing the align printing cancel it,but every time when switch on the machine it will print align page..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0nWCTKPaBlo

This could be a faulty cartridge or you may have installed a expired cartridge , try replacing the cartridge with a new one, if that doesnt work, then try a hard reset.
A hard reset = unplug printer from the wall, press and hold the power button for 45-60 sec then plug back in and turn on. That should clear the error.
